I’ve been an eBay shopper since college, back in the days when I used to spend hours and hours hunting for original vinyl copies of my favorite albums. These days, my shopping habits and tastes are a bit different, but I still turn to eBay when I need to find something really special and unique. I’d been wanting a cute wicker purse to add a bit of whimsy and texture to my wardrobe, so I headed straight to eBay to start my hunt!

Vintage Mint Green Wicker Purse from eBay

I love adding a vintage element to every outfit, whether it’s jewelry, a purse, or even shoes. It’s a fun way to add a layer of individuality and your unique style to an outfit, the same way that vintage pieces add character to home décor. And for me, half the fun is in the search itself! There are approximately 1.1 BILLION listings on eBay at any given time, so you know you’ll always find what you’re looking for. I knew that I wanted something wicker, but I was flexible in the color and shape, so I just searched “vintage wicker purse” and let all the pretty options roll in!

I found the CUTEST mint green wicker purse that I absolutely love. The minute it popped up in my search results, I knew it was the one for me. Everything is perfect, from the rounded shape to the circular handles fit that perfectly over my wrist. The mint green color is the perfect way to add a pop of color to a casual outfit, and this particular shade of mint green happens to be one of my all time favorites. Even the barista at my local coffee shop complimented my bag, which was definitely a first for me. I’ve been carrying this beauty everywhere, from weekday lunch dates with girlfriends to date nights with my husband.

If you’re looking for your own vintage wicker purse, there are plenty of options in this search. I particularly love this white versionthis 1950s purse with gorgeous lucite handlesthis bohemian floral wicker purse, and this black wicker purse with gold handles. Wouldn’t they be so cute for holiday parties??

If you’re not feeling the vintage but still want a cute wicker purse for weekend brunch or special events, you can find plenty of new options on eBay, from Kate Spade to JCrew. I bought my purse instantly with the “Buy it Now” feature and it arrived at my doorstep in less than three days! Plus, 67% of items on eBay ship for free, which is a nice additional bonus. Be sure to shop now to find the perfect purse for your next night on the town!

Stationery A-Z: Milestone Birthday Cards

It’s no secret that we love birthdays here at OSBP (well, their associated greeting cards at least!). We’ve done round ups in the past that focused on a particular message or illustration theme, but today we’re focusing on something special: milestone birthdays! Milestone birthdays are huge landmark occasions that deserve a bit of extra celebration. So whether you chose to celebrate with humor or sympathy (or balloons!), here are a few milestone birthday cards to help mark the occasion. Enjoy! –Shauna

Milestone Birthday Cards

From top right:

1. Forty is the new twenty, right? Ten times four equals this fun flash card inspired design from Chicago-based The Found. Pick your poison wisely!

2. In a welcome break from the typical booze-centric 21st birthday card, Little Trees Studio has opted for a birthday cake inspired version instead. Fun!

3. You’re never too old for sprinkles and this Smudge Ink design proves that (also, it’s on sale!).

4. Celebrate a dirty thirty birthday with this cheerful greeting from Wild Hart Paper.

5. Loving this sweet color palette and bold type treatment from Brooklyn-based My Darlin’.

6. Milestone birthdays are an opportunity to take stock of your life. Fancy a reinvention? This gold foil card from Smock is certainly a game changing contender.

7. Got a friend who is less than thrilled with getting older? Use humor to your advantage with this letterpress greeting from Sapling Press. Psst – there’s a 30th birthday version too.

8. In a variation on the aforementioned theme, check out this thirty-something version from Greenwich Letterpress.

9. This card comes with a built-in BALLOON! Really loving this clever milestone birthday card design from Egg Press (and be sure to check out our Behind the Stationery post with Tess and Kara right here).

10. The ladies of Farewell Paperie are always good for a laugh – and this funny 30th birthday card is no exception.

Seasonal Stationery: Halloween Cards (part boo!)

Trick or treat! We found so many great Halloween cards, that it was worth doing a second round up (check out last weeks Halloween card round up here). We’ve got anthropomorphic candy and scary skulls, not to mention three different takes on animals using the tried and true sheet-as-a-ghost costume. No matter what your favorite part of Halloween is – getting scared out of your wits, dressing up as your favorite condiment, or chowing down on multiple forms of sugar – there’s bound to be something that satisfies your Halloween sweet tooth. Happy Halloween! – Shauna

4. This Wild Hart Paper design trades the traditional orange and black color palette for an ombre rainbow yet keeps the witches and ghouls for just the right combination of a very modern Halloween.

5. More animals in costume, more opportunities to dress your pug like a fried chicken sandwich. From Clap Clap Design.

6. Jeepers Creepers! Keep those creepy crawlies at bay with this bug infested design from Hello!Lucky for Paperless Post.

Stationery A-Z: Boob Cards

Be it the women’s movement, the uptick in lady social clubs, or just a general sense of growing female empowerment, but we’ve been seeing a whole lot of a certain, ahem, anatomical item (or items) showing up in greeting cards recently. There seem to be boob cards for pretty much any occasion! These particular ‘designs’ are available in all shapes, sizes, colors, and categories and can be used for everything from a thank you note, to a good luck card, to a quick pep talk for someone battling cancer. Send one to your mom, your mentor or even your bosom buddy. Whatever the inspiration, we’re two lady lumps up for this new trend. (I know, I know.) – Shauna

Trendspotting: Boob Cards!

6. We love a good pun here at OSBP and this Lark + Raven design is no exception.

7. Literally so many uses for this Egg Press greeting – an empathetic note for someone battling breast cancer, an encouraging message for a new mom, or a cheeky congratulatory sentiment for a recent plastic surgery recipient. The list goes on!

8. This Gold Teeth Brooklyn note comes in not one, but three shades of female anatomy.

9. We all could use a little encouragement every now and then…often in the form of lingerie. Also from Boss Dotty (check our post on her debut at the National Stationery Show here).

10. A timeless tradition, now forever immortalized in this clever design from Lovebird Paper Co.
