{happy weekend!}
12/14/2012Happy Friday everyone! So, we managed to get our tree and string lights… and haven’t made an ounce of progress since. I actually kind of love the look of our minimalist tree. This week Sophie turned 3 months old and my husband and I celebrated our 7-year dating anniversary by hiring a babysitter and going out to dinner alone for the first time in three months. We went to a new semi-secret restaurant in our neighborhood – very good food, but definitely not baby appropriate. Sophie handled the whole thing so well, I’m already looking forward to our next date night out! But in the meantime…

Pretty Paper in the Office: Bookends
12/13/2012A common issue with my workspace is the lack of space on my desk, as it is covered with books I use regularly for reference. That’s mostly due to the fact that, until recently, I hadn’t found a set of bookends that I liked enough to purchase. The word ‘bookend’ used to draw up images of dark and stuffy offices for me. Luckily, there are so many options these days that I want to buy them all! Functional and beautiful, I’ve put together a round up of bookends that will surely put and end to any disorganized workspace. – Julie

If you have a food enthusiast on your list this year, our next post for the Food Network’s FN Dish is here to help! With all things paper in mind (of course!), we’ve rounded up our favorite paper-inspired gifts for the foodies in your life. That means pretty art prints, market totes, tea towels and even wrapping paper! Because the outside of the gift should always match the inside, right!? You can check out the full foodie gift guide right here.

Greeting Cards A – Z: Snarky Birthday Cards
12/13/2012I love that moment when you’re skimming through greeting cards and you come across one that causes you to chortle to yourself. You smile a little and realize that this snarky/sarcastic birthday card is perfect for someone you know. Someone that has a sense of humor and likes nothing more than to laugh a little (at themselves) on their birthday. Here is a roundup of smart cards that falls into that category. — Tashia
