Owl Birthday Party Invitations

When it comes to party invitations, I don’t think it gets much cuter than a first birthday party invitation. Â Brandi from Sweet Harvey created these invitations for the first birthday of her adorable baby niece Zoey, and the resulting owl theme strikes the perfect balance between modern and whimsical design.

From Brandi: Jennifer wanted something cute and fun for baby Zoey. Â Jennifer had decided on a giraffe for Zoey’s baby announcements a year ago and decided to keep with the animal character theme. Â We choose brown for the owl and added the strawberry for a girly touch.

70th Wedding Anniversary Invitations

Do you remember the 70th wedding anniversary celebration that I linked to in one of my Friday posts a couple weeks ago? Â Sarah from Parrott Design Studio helped her grandparents celebrate their 2nd platinum wedding anniversary, and the invitations she created for the party are just as beautiful as I expected.

I love that Sarah printed the floral images in a blind (no ink) deboss to give the feeling of lace â€“ so timeless and romantic! Â Beautiful work Sarah!

Holiday Calligraphy Stamp

Happy Monday everyone! Â I hope you all had a good weekend! Â I took this weekend off (well, mostly) for the first time in what feels like months â€“ went out on a date with my husband, walked around our neighborhood, even managed to check out an exhibit at the Folger Library! Â But even after a wonderful weekend, I could always use a little something pretty to brighten my Monday morning, and what could be prettier than these square calligraphy address stamps from Primele?

Patricia from Primele said that she was inspired by the holiday season in Providence, RI, when she would walk past homes with lovely painted doors and beautifulÂ wreaths on the way to her studio. Â It’s still a teensy bit early for me to be thinking about holiday cards, but at least I know how I’ll be addressing the envelopes when I’m ready to send them out! Â At 4 x 4 inches, these stamps will definitely make a statement on the back of any envelope. Â Check them out right here!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone! Â This has been an incredibly full week for me; if you follow me on twitter you may know that I spent most of the weekend and the earlier part of this week up in New Jersey and New York, working on a project with my Dad and seeing some of my fellow bloggers in town for Bridal Market. Â On Tuesday, I attended a taping of the Martha Show â€“ and if you’ll allow me to geek out for a quick second, the bloggers in attendance got to take a photo with Martha and Darcy Miller at the end of the show (that’s me in the red sweater on the right)!

So much fun! Â Now that I’m back at home and the weekend is almost here, I’m looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the cooler weather here in DC. Â But in the meantime…
