National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 10

It’s time for another installment of our National Stationery Show coverage!  First up for today, Kathryn from Blackbird Letterpress, with more of her beautiful die cut greeting cards – including a new bee design for this year and a “missing u” note card that would be perfect for anyone with a far-away loved one.

Blackbird Letterpress

Allison from Igloo Letterpress is always coming up with new and creative applications for her designs – from pull out letterpress greeting cards to fun die cut cards.   This year Allison debuted a set of notebooks inspired by brownstone architecture – line up each design for your own little neighborhood!

So many pretty things over at the Wiley Valentine booth!  From new greeting card designs to wedding invitation albums and baby stationery, these ladies have been keeping busy!

Tina from Joie Studio made her Stationery Show debut this year, with a booth full of letterpress greeting cards, wedding invitations, and pinwheel party accessories.  I’m loving the fruit note cards below – so cute!

Joie Studio

Brad from Maginating always has the best collection of greeting cards – the bacon and egg card below is still one of my all-time favorites, but I’m loving the new perfect match and cheer up cards, too.

Maginating

The ladies from Sugarcube Press had an adorable and ruffle-filled booth with tons of pretty stationery – calendars, greeting cards, coasters, bookplates, oh my!

Color made a return to the Stationery Show in a big way this year and was very much in effect at the Smudge Ink booth, with bold patterned gift wrap and calendars, brightly colored note cards, and imprintable party invitations.

Smudge Ink

Speaking of color – the ladies of Two Trick Pony are known for their colorful screen printed note cards, wedding invitations, and calendars.  I love the deep, saturated color of screen printing!

Of course, no trip to the Stationery Show would be complete without a trip to the Old Tom Foolery booth.  Lauren and Joel are guaranteed to put a smile on your face with these hilarious cards.

Only a couple more posts from the National Stationery Show to go!  I’ll be back tomorrow with more coverage from the show.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 9

Today we’re all about weddings – or at least wedding invitations – from the National Stationery Show.  Several designers had booths either wholly or largely devoted to wedding invitations and albums, and of course I was like a kid in a candy store gawking at such lovely wedding stationery.  After making her NSS debut last year, Meredith from Regas was back with a booth dedicated entirely to her new wedding invitation album.  I’m loving all of the little design details throughout the collection, from literary-inspired details to crisp blind emboss patterns and bright pops of color.

Love those pops of (almost-neon) peach!

The suite above was inspired by Victorian-era literature – so library chic!

Regas

The ladies over at The Lettered Olive also had a brand new and absolutely stunning wedding invitation album, with their signature blend of classic southern style and charm.

In addition to a gorgeous wedding album, they also had one of the coziest booths at the show… well, it was really more like a tent – look at that roof!

And please forgive my terrible photo, but I just can’t get over how cool this is – the entire wedding album comes on an iPad along with samples of the actual invitations contained in the album.  The ladies gave me a demonstration at the booth and it’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought, time, and effort into creating an album app that is both easy to navigate and contains a ton of beautiful invitation eye candy.  Well done ladies!

The Lettered Olive

Avis from Avie Designs also premiered a brand new wedding invitation album, along with holiday cards, calendars, party accessories, and imprintable invitations perfect for a low key or last minute party.  My favorite invitation is the papel picado-inspired design based on the invitation from Avis’s own wedding a couple of years ago.

Avie Designs

The team over at Twig + Fig are the masters of unique wedding and party invitations, including some awesome Bar and Bat Mitzvah invitations, incorporating non-traditional materials – from acrylic invitations to cork with gold foil.  So cool!

Amber from Flywheel Press had a beautiful booth – all chalkboard paint and hand drawn chalk decorations!  Seriously pretty – and full of lots of pretty paper, from wedding invitations to note cards.

Love the split fountain wedding invitations!

Flywheel Press

Jodi from Paisley Tree Press had a booth full of letterpress goodies – from note cards to calendars to coasters, but of course I was particularly smitten with the wedding invitations.  Red accents with a blind impression and letterpress calligraphy?  Yes, please!

Paisley Tree Press

Katrina from Paper Mill Designs sent over a sneak peek of the greeting cards making their debut at the show, but she also exhibited some fun and modern wedding invitations in her booth!

Paper Mill Designs

Of course you’ll remember the gorgeous new Dauphine Press wedding invitation album from the sneak peek last week – it was so great to see the full collection in person at the show!

Dauphine Press

The Gwyneth Paige Couture Letterpress booth was also full of pretty wedding invitations, along with a brand new Bar/Bat Mitzvah album!

Finally (at least for today), Robin from Meant to be Sent, with a collection of patterned and travel-inspired invitations and imprintables!

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 8

I’m back with a few more collections from the National Stationery Show to help brighten up your Monday, with the beautiful images courtesy of Brian Tropiano Photography.  We’re about halfway through the coverage from this year’s National Stationery Show, so let’s get right to a few more booths!  First up today, the ladies of 9SpotMonk with their collection of edgy greeting cards and color-in letterpress clocks and cards.

9SpotMonk

It’s always a treat to catch up with Shelley and Angela at the Albertine Press and Carta, Inc. booth.  Shelley debuted a two new volumes – pattern cards and city sets – in the letterpress library at the Gift Show back in January, and those new collections made another appearance at the Stationery Show alongside a new collection of holiday cards.

Albertine Press

On the Carta, Inc. side, I’m still loving Angela’s collection of stamp notebooks – not to mention all of her gorgeous Italian ribbon!

Carta, Inc.

Double Bravo was another of the many new exhibitors at this year’s show and was full of little letterpress goodies, from calendars to cards to a clever way of marking newborn baby milestones!

This card is part of a series to help mark baby milestones – sleeping through the night, first steps, eating solid foods, etc.  So much more creative than your standard baby book!

Over at the May Day Studio booth, Kelly was showing her collection of antique type letterpress note cards and posters, along with patterned handbound journals, coasters, calendars, and notecards.

May Day Studio

I love the vibrancy of L2 Design Collective‘s screen printed note cards – and this year the booth was full of new cards, including some seriously sweet love notes and a bunch of fun holiday cards.

And last up for today – here was lots of activity over at the Aesthetic Movement booth, with collections from Yellow Owl Workshop, Austin Press, Mara Mi, and Set Editions, among others.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 7

Happy Friday everyone!  We’re about halfway through the coverage from this year’s National Stationery Show, and after looking back through all of the photos from the show I can’t believe what we managed to pack into just a few short days.  So much beautiful stationery!  First up today, a new-to-me exhibitor from the Pacific Northwest, Bison Bookbinding and Letterpress.  I’m absolutely smitten with Bison’s collection of hand lettered note cards and brightly colored geometric letterpress notebooks.

Bison Bookbinding and Letterpress

After somehow missing them last year, I was absolutely determined to visit the Gold Teeth Brooklyn booth this time around.  This simple-yet-vibrant collection of screen printed note cards and art prints is incredibly refreshing, and was accompanied by a sweet and simple booth design that really let the cards shine.

Gold Teeth Brooklyn

Another new exhibitor that made a big impression – Lucky Bird, who came to New York all the way over from the United Kingdom.  Lucky Bird’s collection includes some seriously adorable foil blocked illustrated note cards and gift tags.

Lucky Bird

I’m seriously loving all the new patterns and colorways in the SusyJack* collection this year.  The blue and yellow ikat patterns?  Love it!  And the flower pattern for the 2012 calendars is so lovely…

SusyJack*

From Ink + Wit this year, some new rubber stamp sets, wood veneer notebooks, and gift wrap – and of course lovely notecards all featuring Tara’s signature modern nature-inspired illustrations and patterns.

Ink + Wit

It was such a pleasure to finally meet Rebekah from Wild Ink Press after admiring her work from afar for so long!  Rebecca had one of the prettiest booth displays at the show, with gold logo signs on top of gray chalkboard paint along with a hand drawn chalk border and illustrations – a perfect complement to her beautiful letterpress cards.

Wild Ink Press

Another big Stationery Show debut this year – OneCanoeTwo!  This booth was packed full of awesome letterpress goodies, from greeting cards to a monthly calendar to art prints.  And don’t let the black and white walls fool you; this booth was absolutely packed full of color!

OneCanoeTwo

I was also seriously loving The Great Lakes booth this year – from the sweet and funny cards to the most adorable mobiles featuring wood acorns and dip dyed feathers.

Love these acorn and dipped feather mobiles!

The Great Lakes

Last (for now) but definitely not least, Sesame Letterpress.  Those crosshatch pattern silhouette greeting cards and silhouette note cards are totally calling my name…
