This giveaway is now closed.  Thank you for entering!

As you might have guessed from my hints on Friday and earlier this morning, I’m super excited about today’s giveaway!  Smudge Ink is offering one lucky reader the chance to win a whole year’s worth of beautiful letterpress and offset printed stationery!  Can you imagine anything more perfect?

Smudge Ink is known for bold and vibrant letterpress printed greeting cards and custom wedding invitations (I’m proud to have them as a member of the Designer Rolodex) – along with calendars, gift wrap, and offset printed greeting cards.  I loved the sneak peek at some of their new paper goodies in the colorful Smudge Ink booth at this year’s National Stationery Show.

The winner will receive a package from Smudge Ink that includes letterpress and offset printed birthday cards, thank you cards, cards for the various holidays, boxed note cards – even two calendars!  The greeting cards are letterpress printed at the Smudge Ink studios, a renovated textile factory located in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, and all boxed notes and calendars are offset printed in Maine.

So here’s how to enter:  Visit and “Like” Smudge Ink on Facebook – then come back here and leave a comment with your favorite holiday of the year!  You’ll have until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 to enter the giveaway.  One winner will be selected randomly and notified via email.  Bonne chance!

National Stationery Show 2012, Part 12

Aaaaand… with a dozen posts full of paper awesomeness, we’ve reached the final recap of exhibitor booths from this year’s National Stationery Show!  I’m ready for a super long nap as we head into the weekend, but first let’s take a look at some of the final stationery eye candy from the show!  First up, the Smock and Bella Figura booth.  I was super excited to check out the new gift wrap patterns and notebook collection, not to mention some of the new foil printed greeting card and wedding invitation designs!

Every year, the Crane & Co. booth looks like a Fifth Avenue storefront – complete with gorgeous window displays inspired by Bergdorf Goodman and other classic department stores!  I always spend a few minutes gazing at the beautiful collection in each display…

I’m so happy to see Crane & Co. embracing its extensive history with Americana-inspired stationery collections – they’ve been around since 1801 and have printed stationery for several presidents and even foreign kings and queens!  At the same time, they’re incorporating modern design with bright new color options for the classic Crane & Co. hand bordered correspondence cards.  And is there anything more classic and elegant than white engraved text on red paper?  Beautiful!

I’m a big fan of the rustic vibe over at Old School Stationers.  I always love their colorful letterpress art prints, greeting cards, and calendars featuring their signature hand-drawn illustrations!

Nashville-based Erin from Arboreal also has somewhat of a rustic vibe going on, but with a stationery collection largely inspired by Erin’s travels to Italy.  The line includes gift wrap sheets, gift tags, and beautiful boxed note card sets.

The talented sisters of Spark Letterpress made a return to the Stationery Show with a huge booth full of gorgeous invitations, fun party bunting, and beautiful foil printed certificates and greeting cards.  I’m a longtime fan of the Spark wedding invitation collection, but I’m so happy to see them branching out with more Bar and Bat Mitzvah invitations and other party invitation designs!

L2 Design Collective never fails to make me smile with their colorful screen printed cards and journals.  I’m seriously loving all the new holiday and Halloween card designs, and the bagel and cream cheese card below still makes me laugh!

Envelopments recently collaborated with Kristy Rice of Momental Designs on an exclusive new wedding collection, called Trellis.  Kristy was on hand at the Envelopments booth to talk about the new designs in person.  Kristy creates the most amazing one of a kind hand painted wedding invitations  – and the Trellis collection captures her unique style in such a beautiful way.

National Stationery Show 2012, Part 10

As promised, I’ve got a bit more from the National Stationery Show to share with you today!  Some of my favorite booths are those with a sense of humor, from the sweetly funny to the totally snarky.  So today I thought I’d focus in on a few of my favorite booths that combine fun and humor with gorgeous stationery design.  First up, Maginating with some of the most adorable designs you could possibly imagine and several of my all-time favorite cards!

Love the iridescent foil – one of FOUR foil passes on this specific card!

Maginating

Nicole from The Nic Studio has a beautiful collection of illustrated cards that always seems to combine whimsy with a sense of fun and humor.  This year, I was completely blown away by Nicole’s amazing new series of large full-color art prints called “Animals Everywhere” – inspired by her 3-year old daughter’s imagination.  Gorgeous!

Amber from Flywheel Press always has something up her sleeve for the Stationery Show – from fun scavenger hunts to awesome letterpress greeting cards and wedding invitations.  This year I was particularly smitten with Amber’s new collection of cards inspired by classic movie moments (so fantastic!) and gorgeous split fountain designs.

Beautiful split fountain cards!

Lisa from Sapling Press has the most amazing sense of humor – her “dear blank” and “we go together like” card collections keep me laughing for hours.  This year I can’t get enough of her new card series of made up facts.  Genius!

Lauren and Joel of Old Tom Foolery usually go for a minimalist black and white booth design, but this year they went all out with an INCREDIBLE wood booth designed by an architecture student friend.  So amazing – as are their hilarious cards!

I love the McBitterson’s tagline of “Cute, Sometimes Cranky Letterpress Cards” – so perfect!  The cards might get a little cranky, but they always make me smile.

The team at Oddball Press always seems to find the perfect combination of sweetness and snark in their greeting cards – and I love the way they incorporate old timey illustrations into their designs.  So awesome!

I’m always excited to see the ladies of 9SpotMonk at trade shows.  They have a fantastic collection of color-in cards for kids that you might remember from the January Gift Fair, not to mention the hilarious thank you cards and letterpress beer and wine bottle gift tags below.

National Stationery Show 2012, Part 9

I’m back with more from the 2012 National Stationery Show!  First up for today is Jodi from Paisley Tree Press, who had a seriously adorable booth full of her beautiful letterpress cards, coasters, and wedding invitations.

This adorable card series is inspired by Jodi’s own two pups – so sweet!

How funny are those mullet coasters?

Between the Stationery Show and the Gift Fair, I’m fortunate enough to see Rachael and Jake from Pistachio Press at least three times a year – and they always have something new in their booth!  I loved the new kraft paper calendar and some of the bright colors on their letterpress cards!

The May Day Studio booth was seriously gorgeous this year – and full of beautiful new paper goodies, from patterned gift wrap sheets to hand-bound guest books and photo albums!  So pretty!

I loved all the soft nature-inspired designs from the Portland-based Studio Olivine.  As if the letterpress calendar and greeting cards weren’t enough, the hand lettered booth sign is completely amazing!

I’m a huge fan of the beautiful and modern designs from Anemone Letterpress, so I’m always excited to see what Carrie brings to the Stationery Show.  This year Carrie debuted a bunch of really cute cards, including some with fun pops of neon and overprinting elements!

My next stop was the shared booth of Kim from Paper Lovely and Eva from Fat Bunny Press.  So much pretty letterpress all in one booth!

National Stationery Show 2012, Part 4

Sigh… the 2012 National Stationery Show is officially over.  And while I’m happy to be back home (and even happier to rest my aching feet!), I’m already going through pretty paper withdrawal and missing all my friends in the stationery industry.  I was excited to see a ton of new exhibitors at this year’s show, so today I thought I’d focus in on a few of the first-time exhibitor booths.  First up, the whimsical stationery from Rocket Ink; every design features hand lettering and/or a hand-drawn illustration or pattern.  Beautiful!

Rocket Ink

Pei Design might win the award for most adorable stationery collection from this year’s show.  I love the clean and modern aesthetic of the letterpress cards and fill-in invitations, not to mention the foil stamp pattern note cards and edge painted notebooks!

Pei Design

I loved all the modern black + white minimalism happening over at Pawling, from an incredibly cool topographic 2013 calendar (and corresponding cards) to geometric pattern newsprint gift wrap, art prints, tote bags, and notebooks.

The Regional Assembly of Text was one of several Canadian exhibitors at this year’s show.  This Vancouver-based duo presented a collection of super-cute note cards and corresponding buttons.  So fun!

There were so many fun things happening over in the Jigsaw Graphics booth!  I’m constantly re-organizing and re-arranging things in my home, so I instantly fell in love with the dry erase labels and tags – so perfect for someone like me.  And the customizable letterpress stationery is pretty amazing; Jigsaw Graphics can take any signature and/or illustration, scan it in, and create personalized note cards for kids and adults.  Turns out that kids really love to write letters to their friends, so hooray for the future generation of letter-writers!

I loved the home library vibe of the Papillon Press booth (another Canadian exhibitor!).  Their collection of letterpress greeting cards was both pretty and incredibly funny – such a great combination!  I particularly enjoyed the Victorian card series with phrases and tips from an antique etiquette guide.

I’m so happy I came across The Permanent Collection booth – so many fantastic letterpress cards and prints!  And I can’t get over the large scale letterpress prints of wedding vows and birth announcement details… such a great way to commemorate a momentous occasion (and surprisingly affordable, too!).

I’m still working my way through all the photos from the show, but I’ll be back with more soon!
