Jennifer + Iskander’s Bilingual Airmail Wedding Invitations

With the National Stationery Show behind us, I’m excited to feature wedding invitations again! Today’s airmailÂ wedding invitations come to us from Becca of Suite Paperie. In addition to beautiful travel-inspired details, these wedding invitations honor the groom’s French heritage with bilingual printing â€“ English and French â€“ and royal blue envelope liners. Pretty!

FromÂ Becca:Â Inspired by the groom’s French heritage, this vintage airmail suite is printed in English on one side and French on the other. Natural double-ply cover stock is digitally printed with traditional airmail stripes and images of vintage stamps for both the invitation and response card. To add in a bit of a natural element, we printed custom tags with the bride and groom’s initials on kraft paper and tied the suite together with a cream cotton twine. The entire package was tucked into a natural envelope lined in a bright royal blue.

Happy Weekend!

Happy National Doughnut Day Everyone! After 14 recaps from this year’sÂ National Stationery Show, I’m ready for a doughnut and a nice long nap â€“ or at least to go vacuum my house or attend to one of the many other chores I’ve been neglecting the last couple of weeks! Lucas’s Superhero 4th Birthday Party Invitations

Happy Monday everyone! Before we jump back into recaps from the National Stationery Show, I couldn’t resist sharing the wonderful invitations that Lisa from Good on Paper created for her son’s 4th birthday! Lisa creates the most beautiful birthday party invitations (and announcements) for her two boys, and it’s always an inspiration to see the creative themes she comes up with year after year. For her elder son, Lucas, this year is all about superheroes â€“ but in a really fun way!

From Lisa:Â While Lucas loves all kinds of super heroes â€“ Captain America, Flash, Spider-Man, etc. â€“ I really wanted the party to be more about the super powers of Lucas and his friends and to be a little less commercialized. The invitations were printed in black and green on heavy white cotton paper with a clean, minimal design highlighting Super Lucas.

Each invitation set included custom tattoos and instructions packaged in a small glassine envelope for each guest. The tattoos had the guest’s name (i.e. Super Connor) as well as super hero speech bubbles with expressions like “WOW”, “OK”, “YES”, and “COOL” instead of the usual “POW” and “BANG” expressions. The envelopes were lined with a pattern of the same super hero expressions.Â

Happy Weekend!

It has been such a whirlwind week, with three and a half days at the National Stationery Show, one big Paper Party (more on that next week!), and very very little sleep. And despite the sore feet and general exhaustion that always follows the show, my heart feels like it’s about to burst with happiness after meeting and spending time with so many amazing people at the show. I really do love our stationery community! I’ll be back to share lots more from the show next week, but in the meantime…

National Stationery Show 2014, Part 3

The 2014 National Stationery Show may have officially wrapped up yesterday (sniff!! miss you all already!), but my coverage from this year’s show is just getting started! And you guys, there were SO MANY amazing booths this year, I’m almost afraid to think of how many photos I took over the last three and a half days. So let’s get right back to it, with one of this year’s most hotly anticipated booths: Emily McDowell!Â I’m such a big fan of Emily’s compelling hand lettered greeting cards, prints, tea towels, tote bags, and temporary tattoos â€“ and this year Emily added gift tags, sticker labels, and notepads to the collection!

After exhibiting with Crow and Canary a few times, Ashkahn made his official debut in a solo booth this year! I love the mix of foil and neon, not to mention irreverence and sentimentality, in his letterpress greeting cards.

Pineapples were everywhere at this year’s show (seriously), but that was perhaps most true at the debut booth from Hartland Brooklyn. Isn’t that wallpaper (made using custom gift wrap!) incredible? And so many fun greeting cards with gold foil, tropical illustrations, and yes, plenty of pineapples.
