Red, White + Kraft Bridal Shower Invitations

These bridal shower invitations from Sally at la Happy are so pretty they just make me smile.  Sally used the Rainy Day rubber stamp kit from Yellow Owl Workshop to create the umbrella illustration on chipboard on the outside of the invitation, and then hand lettered the bride’s name on in white ink on each invitation before securing the invitation details on the inside using washi tape.  So cute!  I’m also seriously loving the white calligraphy on those bright red envelopes – such a great combination!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  I got a wee bit of a head start on the weekend last night, when I went with this awesome lady to go see Mumford & Sons.  It was my third time seeing them live and they put on an awesome show, so definitely worth being a bit more on the tired side today.  Now I’m really anxious to get a move on the weekend, but in the meantime…

Southern Magnolia Bridal Luncheon Invitation

I’ve had these bridal luncheon invitations bookmarked the last couple of weeks – Christine from Ink*Lemonade created these lovelies for a friend in Georgia who will be hosting a luncheon in honor of her cousin’s upcoming wedding.  Christine used magnolias and the concept of the Old South with a modern twist as her design inspiration, along with a color palette of green, brown, and cream.  I’m having visions of sweet iced tea, mint juleps, and lots of yummy treats – sounds delightful!

Christine letterpress printed the main invitation, incorporating her own hand lettering style into the invitation text.  She then calligraphed the outer envelopes and paired them with coordinating vintage stamps.  So, so pretty.

{happy weekend!}

You know how some weeks are just harder than others?  This has been a tough week for me, with a to-do list that feels like it’s getting longer by the minute and a rapidly dwindling energy level.  I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, drained, and a little burned out – and on top of all of that, over the last few days I also managed to come down with a bit of a cold.  Not a good combination!  I’m hoping to recharge a bit this weekend and start fresh next week.  But in the meantime…
