National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 6

I’m back with more goodies from the 2011 National Stationery Show!  Are you all enjoying the recaps from this year’s show as much as I’m enjoying putting them together?  I hope so, because there’s still a lot more to come!  Toronto-based Pantry Press made a return to the Stationery Show after a 7-year absence, and I was thrilled to see their beautiful letterpress work up close.

Dear Hancock displayed the most adorable collection of illustrated note cards and art prints – from sweet Father’s Day cards to thank you cards to an adorable papel picado love note card that was my particular favorite.

Hammerpress is another perennial show favorite; I always love the layered colors and delicate letterpress texture in their card and calendar designs.  I’m super excited to see the tear-away wall calendars making a return this year along with lots of other new designs!

Artist Leah Duncan wasn’t technically at the Stationery Show – but I couldn’t resist including her in these round ups.  Leah exhibited at an art licensing show called Surtex, where she displayed her illustrated patterns and collaborative projects.

The Sweet Bella booth was chock full of awesome office stationery, from notebooks to washi tape, along with bright note cards and travel-inspired post cards.

For those of you with a slightly more sarcastic sense of humor, you’ll adore the cards from Walk Up Press.  I’m also loving the customizable letterpress prints and less snarky love note cards.

How cute are those letterpress lunch bags?!  And I’m loving the personalized letterpress prints as a wedding or engagement keepsake, or even as an alternative guest book.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 5

Well, the 2011 National Stationery Show has officially come to a close – although of course my coverage from this year’s show is far from over!  And while it’s always a bit sad to say goodbye to everyone, I can cheer myself up with more photos from this year’s exhibitions.  First up for today, Hello!Lucky – which always has a fun booth full of personality and lots (and lots) of color.

After making their debut at last year’s show, Pistachio Press was back this year with lots of new products, including some gorgeous cross-stitch note cards, notebooks, and calendars, along with colorful birthday cards and wedding invitations.

I’m loving all of the new fabric tote bags from Chewing the Cud, not to mention the new patterns in Viola’s line of fabric gift wrap.  And those new rubber stamp sets?  Couldn’t be cuter!

Lisa from Sapling Press just may be the funniest person I know – and you don’t need to look further than her cards for proof.  Oh, and don’t forget about these awesome tote bags!

Night Owl Paper Goods is a perennial favorite at the Stationery Show, and this year is no exception!  The Night Owl team recently added some fun wood veneer banners and lots of cute new designs to their collection of letterpress and wood veneer note cards, prints, calendars, and note books.

Color was definitely back in a big way at this show, and I was so happy to see lots of vibrant color at Egg Press – from touches of neon to unusual color combinations on some of the holiday cards – alongside sweet illustrations and fun geometric patterns.

I really love seeing stationers experiment with die cuts to achieve unique card shapes – and these heart-shaped cards are too cute!

Color also had a large presence at Fine Day Press, from Ashley’s letterpress note cards to her new illustrated calendar.  So pretty!

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 4

As promised, I’m back with more from this year’s National Stationery Show, with beautiful images from photographer Brian Tropiano.  I’ve been running around the show trying to catch up with old favorites and check out the work of new exhibitors, so the last couple days have just flown by!  First up, a first time exhibitor that is a familiar face around here – Dingbat Press!  Adrienne from Dingbat Press did an amazing job with her booth; each wall is covered with silver leaf!  I’m loving Adrienne’s letterpress initial note cards and funny chess greeting cards.

Smock is no stranger to the Stationery Show, but their sister company Bella Figura was also exhibited for the first time at this year’s show.  There was a lot of color going on in the joint booth, from greeting cards to gift wrap to gift boxes to calendars to wedding invitations.  So fun!

The Ladies of Letterpress booth is a bit of a doozy – with TEN designer/printers exhibiting in a shared booth.  It’s a lot to take in all at once, but there’s so much amazing work from a group of seriously talented stationers.  This year participating printers included Thomas Printers, Anemone Letterpress, Cleanwash Letterpress, Heartfish Press, Ink Petals, Wildhorse Press, Dandy Lion Press, Studio SloMo, Lulabelle, and Paper Lovely.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 3

It’s hard to believe that today is the final day of the Stationery Show in New York – but don’t worry, I have so much more to share with you from this year’s show!  Yesterday I was lucky enough to have photographer Brian Tropiano join me to help out on photo duty at the show, which made me a very happy blogger!  First up today, Figs and Ginger, who put together one of my favorite booth displays for this year’s show, hands down.  You saw a sneak peek of the new wood collection at the last Gift Fair, but the full collection of wedding and party goods made its big debut at the Stationery Show with amazing silhouette cake toppers, banners, wood signs, and dress hangers for wedding party members.  Just stunning!

Right across the aisle, Laurel Denise was exhibiting at the show with her totally awesome calendar/planner.  You’ll get a sneak peek at the 2012 version below, which is totally adorable with some fun patterns and multiple cover color options.  See that large scale version that Laurel made just for her booth display?  I’m trying to convince her to figure out how to actually make that for people to use in their own offices.  How awesome would that be?  I know I could use one!

After making her big debut at last year’s show, Anna from Rifle Paper Co. was back this year with even more gorgeous stationery – including gold foil note cards, multiple calendars, note pads, coasters, and prints.  So much pretty!

I always love the Linda & Harriett booth at the Stationery Show, and this year was no exception.  This year Liz is exhibiting two calendar formats, including a hanging letterpress calendar and a totally gorgeous and larger scale watercolor calendar, along with new versions of a Linda + Harriett classic – note pads!

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 2

It’s already been a whirlwind couple of days at the National Stationery Show, and I can’t wait to share more images with all of you, including some seriously creative booth displays!  Of course, booth styling is always a huge part of exhibitor experience at the National Stationery Show, and this year’s show is no exception.  Mr. Boddington’s Studio had one of my favorite displays at last year’s show and this year they’re back with another stunning booth – both created by artist Donald Graham Hersey:

Another creative booth display, this time from a first time exhibitor: Nashville-based eco-friendly stationer Arboreal.  I’m loving the moss displays and the gorgeous wood sign, along with the beautiful Italian-inspired cards and gift tags.

Love the royal blue walls from another first time exhibitor Banquet Atelier and Workshop, which served as the perfect backdrop for Banquet’s nature-inspired prints, note cards, and patterned gift wrap.

I’ve been so happy to see (and meet!) so many new exhibitors at this year’s show.  Portland’s Two Guitars made its trade show debut this year, with an adorable selection of screen printed and letterpress note cards and notebooks.

I’m totally smitten with the brand new wedding invitation and greeting card collection from The Nic Studio – all featuring Nicole’s playful and whimsical illustrations:

Even with all of the new exhibitors, it’s so nice to catch up with favorites from previous show.  I first fell for Urubbu‘s folk art and nature-inspired note cards at last year’s show, and I’m loving the new additions for this year’s collection!
