NSS 2010 – Part 7

This was the first year that Kathryn from Blackbird Letterpress exhibited at NSS, and it was so nice to finally meet her in person!  I've got a gorgeous wedding invitation suite from Kathryn to share with you all a bit later on, but in the meantime let's take a look at her booth from the show!

I had a wonderful time visiting the Red Oak Press booth — their letterpress stationery and baby announcements had such beautiful impressions and registration that I had to resist the urge to touch each and every individual piece:

Jack and Lulu had one of the most impossibly adorable booths at this year's NSS — just look at the watering can name signs!  I loved the nautical theme, all the way down to the bag of flags and Union Jack coasters:

The ladies of Byrd and Bleecker had a booth that matched their bright and bubble personalities as well as their stationery:

I was thrilled to see Pica Press at this year's show, and even more thrilled to check out their cards and invitations in person!

SusyJack* was back at this year's show with a few new products — like the modern spin on a piggy bank and new bunting kits below — as well as perennial favorites like calendars and note pads:

That's it for now, but I'll be back with more tomorrow!

NSS 2010 – Part 6

This next group of booths happens to include several with some of my favorite overall booth design or decor details — from Hello Lucky's coffee filter garland to Linda & Harriett's vintage post card border.  First up, the Regas New York booth, filled with both amazing letterpress stationery and some pretty incredible decor details, including tissue paper flowers and amazing wire displays created by Meredith's mom!

Liz from Linda & Harriett always puts together an amazing booth display, and this year was no exception.  Liz incorporated a border of vintage post cards on the wall displaying her 2011 calendar, and tissue paper streamers on the wall displaying her new letterpress birthday calendar — both of which are destined to be a huge hit later this year:

In addition to fantastic stationery, I loved all the cute details over at Cat Seto — from the fabric rosettes to the hand-drawn armoire fabric display:

The ladies from Hello!Lucky created one of my favorite booths from NSS 2009, and luckily my expectations were also met for this year's show.  The team rescued a few of the pink coffee filter garland's created for Eunice's wedding last year as a lovely complement to grosgrain ribbon displays for all of the new Hello!Lucky cards and prints:

As a girl with a weakness for vintage stamps and ribbon (not to mention gorgeous letterpress stationery), I was pretty much in heaven over at the combined booth of Carta, Inc. and Albertine Press.  So between Angela's new francobolli line of vintage stamp greeting cards and Shelley's letterpress library, what more could I possibly ask for?

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  After spending the week in New York City, I’m now up in Syracuse to visit my husband’s family and very much looking forward to a relaxing weekend.  I’m hoping to check out the annual lilac festival in Rochester, which I’ve been wanting to visit for years but almost always falls on the same days as the Stationery Show.  I’ve got more recaps from the Stationery Show coming up over the weekend, but I wanted to make sure I did my usual Friday post since there’s been a lot going on while I’ve been up at the show!  So in the meantime…

NSS 2010 – Part 5

Studio Olivine was back at this year's Stationery Show — and I couldn't have been happier to see these beautiful letterpress cards in person.  I absolutely love the organic shapes and nature-inspired imagery:

The a. favorite design booth was packed to the brim with gorgeous letterpress stationery — from sweet valentine's day cards to bold typography greeting cards, there was so much to see!

I also spent quite a bit of time over with Jackie from 42 Pressed — I particularly love her approach to designing colorful and modern wedding invitations and baby announcements:

And speaking of wedding invitations, Emily Ley was at this year's show to debut her new wedding invitation and social stationery collection for The English Paper Company!

I'm still wading my way through the bazillion photos from the Stationery Show, so stay tuned as I continue to post my favorite booths from this year's show through the weekend!

NSS 2010 – Part 4

It's pretty much impossible for me to pick just one or two (or even ten) favorites from the Stationery Show, but I was really impressed by stationers making their NSS debut at this year's show.  Igloo Press was one of several studios making their first appearance at the show, and I instantly fell for their beautiful letterpress cards — just check out the crisp impressions, subtle blind patterns, and bright colors below!

Another of the many reasons I love just walking the floor at the Stationery Show — I stumbled upon this booth from Urubbu, with folk style cards and beautiful bird carvings inspired by Brazilian wildlife.  Wouldn't the bird carvings also be lovely as a wedding cake topper?

The Oddball Press booth was packed full of beautiful letterpress stationery that combines vintage imagery with a modern sensibility.  They also created one of the most beautiful family trees I think I've ever seen — also letterpress, of course:
