For Japan With Love

I don’t really have the words to adequately convey my feelings regarding the situation in Japan, but I know that we all want to find ways to help, no matter how small.  Tomorrow I’ll be participating in this blogger’s day of silence for Japan.  Instead of my usual weekly round-up I thought I’d include a few links to organizations and fundraisers trying to respond to the devastation.

Wedding Invitations – Satsuma Press

As much as I love it when couples take risks with their wedding invitation design, there’s just something about a clean, simple, and timeless wedding invitation that gets me every single time.  So of course I’m loving the latest wedding invitation designs from Lynn at Satsuma Press.  The design with the tiny hearts is my favorite…

Dinara’s Pink + Yellow Hand Lettered Baby Shower Invitations

You might remember Dinara’s beautiful paper cut artwork from last month – and today Dinara is back, with the invitations for her upcoming baby shower!  Dinara is expecting a baby girl in May, so when it came time for baby shower invitations it was only fitting that Dinara apply her illustration and hand lettering skills to the design.

Dinara worked with Laurie from Lucky Bee Press, who provided 2-color letterpress printing in pink and yellow.  Aren’t they lovely?

Paul + Colleen’s Illustrated Letterpress Save the Dates

I love, love the combination of illustration and letterpress printing.  Colleen from Craft Lovely had the opportunity to print these fantastic letterpress save the dates for her friends Colleen and Paul.  Paul, a talented artist, did the illustration and design work, while (the other) Colleen created the lovely calligraphy on the envelopes.  I’m completely smitten!

From the silhouettes to the other framed objects, the save the date design features memories and tidbits from Paul and Colleen’s relationship.  So sweet!  Check out more details over on Craft Lovely.

Jenna + Asa’s Floral Australian Wedding Save the Dates

I’ve always been a big fan of the talented Anna of Rifle Paper Co. – particularly when it comes to wedding invitations and wedding stationery.  So it comes as no surprise that a long-time reader of this blog would choose Rifle for her own wedding stationery!  Jenna is getting married later this year in Australia, and commissioned one of Anna’s beautiful floral illustrations for her save the dates.

From Jenna:  Our inspiration is the summer garden themed wedding we are planning in December (Australia).  My fiancé and I added the vintage postage stamps and hand stamped each alphabetical letter to create the “to” addresses.  They could not be more suited to the day we envision having!
