A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of featuring the awesome wedding save the dates from Jaymee of Jay Adores Design Co., and today Jaymee is back to share her wedding invitations and day-of stationery! While their save the dates focused on Reis + Jaymee’s life in Hawaii, the invitations are decidedly all about their California wedding venue. Jaymee mixed a modern layout with photos of Santa Barbara and vintage-inspired touches to achieve her own unique design style. So fun!
From Jaymee: Designing our invitations was one of my favorite parts of planning our wedding. Invitations are really what set the tone for an event and let your guests know a portion of what to expect – so there was a lot of pressure! I wanted them to look how I envisioned our wedding to be: fun and not super formal, but still classy.
After I finalized the designs, I sent the main invitation and reply card to Presshaus LA to be letterpress printed!  Kristine is such a joy to work with and they turned out even better than I could have imagined! The ever-talented Molly Jacques was our calligrapher and thanks to her, the most beautiful handwriting was sprawled across each envelope. I could not be happier with how they turned out!
We used photos I had taken in Santa Barbara as the background of each page of the details packet. Although it was an extremely time consuming process, we DIYed string ties on every single envelope for a slight vintage appeal using gold eyelets and a crop-a-dile. To tie everything together, we wrapped the suite up in twine and attached a chipboard hang tag with our logo stamped on it.
Check back a bit later for all the fun day-of stationery from Reis + Jaymee’s wedding and their rehearsal dinner invitations!
