Owl Birthday Party Invitations

When it comes to party invitations, I don’t think it gets much cuter than a first birthday party invitation.  Brandi from Sweet Harvey created these invitations for the first birthday of her adorable baby niece Zoey, and the resulting owl theme strikes the perfect balance between modern and whimsical design.

From Brandi: Jennifer wanted something cute and fun for baby Zoey.  Jennifer had decided on a giraffe for Zoey’s baby announcements a year ago and decided to keep with the animal character theme.  We choose brown for the owl and added the strawberry for a girly touch.

So cute!  Thanks so much Brandi – and happy first birthday to Zoey!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  This has been an incredibly full week for me; if you follow me on twitter you may know that I spent most of the weekend and the earlier part of this week up in New Jersey and New York, working on a project with my Dad and seeing some of my fellow bloggers in town for Bridal Market.  On Tuesday, I attended a taping of the Martha Show – and if you’ll allow me to geek out for a quick second, the bloggers in attendance got to take a photo with Martha and Darcy Miller at the end of the show (that’s me in the red sweater on the right)!

So much fun!  Now that I’m back at home and the weekend is almost here, I’m looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the cooler weather here in DC.  But in the meantime…

…and just in case you missed it, a quick round-up of this week’s posts:

That’s it for me this week!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you all back here on Monday!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  It’s been another exhausting week, but I’m super excited for the weekend.  I’m heading up to New Jersey to visit my Dad, which is nearly always just what the doctor ordered when I’m feeling stressed and worn out.  I’ll also be heading into New York City for some Bridal Market fun and, of course, still working.  Speaking of which, have you all popped over for a tiny peek at my new project?  We’re getting ready to launch in a couple of weeks and I’m so excited!  I hope you all have fun and/or relaxing plans for the weekend, but in the meantime…

Helicopter Birthday Party Invitations

Janie from We Heart Paper printed these helicopter-themed invitations for an upcoming 4th birthday celebration, and aren’t they just the cutest?  I love the bright polka dot envelope liner against the blue letterpress details of the helicopter and clouds – so much fun!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m heading out a bit early today, since my husband came down with a really nasty cold (or maybe the flu?) and I’m doing my best to take care of him – and try to squeeze in a bit of housework (something I’ve sadly neglected over the last couple of weeks while things have been bananas-level busy).  I’m also hoping to swing by a food truck cook-off a bit later today, and then later this weekend we’re hoping to accompany our friends and their adorable 6-month-old son on his first apple picking and pumpkin patch expedition!  Hooray for 3-day weekends, all very much needed to catch up on my to do list and give sick husbands some time to feel better.  But in the meantime…

That’s it for me this week – but I’ll be back next week with more 2011 calendars, a few more Halloween cards, and of course beautiful wedding invitations.  Since it’s a long weekend here and in Canada (Happy Thanksgiving!), I’ll be back with new posts on Tuesday.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
