Tropical Leaf Destination Wedding Invitations

You guys, I really hope the tropical leaf trend sticks around for a while. I just can’t get enough! Palm fronds, banana leaves, monsteras and philodendrons… I love them as house plants, floral dÃ©cor, AND as inspiration for wedding invitations! Becca from Suite Paperie sent over these tropical leaf destination wedding invitations forÂ a NYC couple getting married in the West Indies. Palm fronds galore!

FromÂ Becca:Â Michelle and Steven came to us to create an island-inspired invitation that would not only stand the test of time, butÂ would also set the tone for their West Indies destination wedding. The pair are super creative individuals, with theÂ bride working in the fashion industry, and the groom at an architectureÂ firm, both in NYC. They ooze cool, creativity, and fun, so we were put to the test to create theÂ ultimate suite that showed off their personalities, styles, and wedding vibe.

We came up with this tropical leaf wedding invitation! This beauty is digitally printed in full color on a creamy double-thick cover stock. The invitation is modern, featuring a playful brush script paired with a mix of serif and italic typefaces, and corner leaf artwork. We added depth to the design by layering palm fronds to create a cool seamless pattern.

The punchy pattern was enlarged and printed again to be used as the envelope liner inside a teal green envelope. Mini manilla shipping tags were Â digitally printed with their initials and wedding date on the front, and their RSVP and website info on the reverse. The tags were finished with a burlap strand, giving the suite a bit of anÂ earthy, rustic feel.

Michelle and Steven wanted their invitation to exude a fun, island vibe â€“Â getting their guests psyched up for an all out party weekend in Tobago, West Indies. We think the invitation did just that!

Illustrated Mountain Wedding Invitations

The choice of a wedding venue influences so much about the wedding itself. Will it be modern or classic? Informal or black tie? Rustic or tropical? It makes perfect sense that so many wedding invitations are inspired by the wedding venue! These illustrated mountain wedding invitations from Alia and Jason of Darling PressÂ were inspired by Timberline Lodge, located in the shadow of Oregon’s Mount Hood and feature an illustration of both the wedding venue and the nearby volcano. The invitation suite was letterpress printed in a single color â€“ a deep, dusky blue â€“ to complement the intricate line work in the illustrations and help keep costs within the couple’s budget!

From Alia and Jason: One of Oregon’s most iconic landmarks is Mt. Hood. Chances are, if you’re heading up to romp around the mountain, you’re going to visit the equally iconic Timberline Lodge. When Courtney and Chris told us they were getting married at Timberline Lodge, we were very excited to illustrate the architecture of the building. The fine detail of the Lodge works well against the bold organic shapes of our local volcano.

Because the impression from letterpress printing would highlight the intricate line work and wealth of detail inÂ the drawings, everyone agreed that only one color was necessary for the suite.

Rather than keeping number of pieces in the invitation suite to the bare minimum (just the invitation and a reply card), Courtney was excited about adding extra elements to make the invitation package feel special and unique. And thus, our first ever custom map was designed. The tiny tag was a warm, personal touch to complete the overall presentation.

Rose Gold Foil Night Sky Wedding Invitations

Happy Monday everyone! It’s always a sign of a good week when we start Monday morning with a gorgeous wedding invitation from Samantha and Whitney ofÂ Gus & Ruby Letterpress â€“ especially when that invitation involves laser cut stars and rose gold foil! These rose gold foil night sky wedding invitations were created for a wedding at Camp Waldemar in Texas Hill country. Deep navy blue and rose gold foil is one of my all-time favorite combinations (I think it’s so romantic!), and I’m completely head over heels for the laser cut star details that Samantha and Whitney added to the invitation. So pretty!

FromÂ Samantha and Whitney: This custom wedding invitation suite was designed for a sweet couple gettingÂ marriedÂ deep in the heart of Texas. The bride and groom wanted the invitation suite to reflect the camp venue while also paying homage to the big, beautiful Texan sky.

The invitation suite was housed in a full-flood digitally printed folder with an image of the night sky. The folder was foil stamped with a quote about the night sky and tied shut with twine and a Texas-shaped laser-cut wooden hang tag.

We paired whimsical script with a traditional roman font for a mix of romance and fun, while a color palette of navy blue and rose gold set the tone.Â The type-set invitation was printed on double-thick 100% cotton and features laser cut stars that allow the digitally printed wrap-around folder to peek through.

The reply postcard featured a colorful vintage map of Texas. We also created a 4-panel folded insert card that expanded to give guests lots of details about the wedding weekend.

As always, the pieces were lovingly letterpress printed and foil-stamped by hand on our antique presses on beautiful, textural, super thick 100% cotton paper.

Happy Weekend

It feels strange to be wishing all of you a happy weekend after the tragic events in Nice yesterday. It’s getting harder and harder to find the bright spots between the shadows these days. My heart is with the people of France today. I don’t have many words today â€“ just wishes for more peace and love, less violence and tragedy.

Elegant Rustic Coral Wedding Invitations

Beautiful modern calligraphy paired with a fantastic vintage coral velvet ribbon? Yes, please! These elegant rustic coral wedding invitations from Melissa ofÂ Atheneum Creative pair elegant letterpress printedÂ calligraphy with a sophisticated gray, white, and coral color palette and rustic wood details throughout the invitation suite. Absolutely gorgeous!

FromÂ Melissa:Â Hadley and Ross planned a rustic wedding in the mountains, but wanted their wedding to be sophisticated and elegant at the same time. We started working on their wedding monogram and their wedding stationery with that concept in mind: rustic, modern, and softly elegant.

The weddingÂ invitationÂ was letterpress printed with gray calligraphy text on white paper, then bound with a vintage velvet coral ribbon and a custom wood tag featuring the wedding monogram. The coral ribbon is absolutelyÂ gorgeous when paired with the cherry wood tag!Â The wedding invitation suite also included an accordion-fold booklet with a wood front and back cover. The booklet listed all of the wedding events and contained a custom map. The wood booklet cover helped provide the rustic feel for the invitation suite. A letterpress printed reception card in coral calligraphy, a formal RSVP card in gray calligraphy, and gray envelopes completed the invitation suite.

We also had lots of fun with their day-of wedding stationery. Napkins and stir sticks in matching colors, ceremony programs, and more! Our favorite detail of all has to be the custom copper cups that were sitting at everyone place setting. The copper just popped right off the table! We also made a custom coffee travel cup for guests to grab forÂ brunch on the go the following morning.
