{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone! We’re hoping to get our Christmas tree this weekend, and I can’t wait to see Sophie’s reaction to all the twinkling lights and ornaments! Decorating the tree is my very favorite holiday tradition, one that I can’t wait to share with Sophie once she’s a bit older. I’m also taking bets as to which of our cats will be the first to climb (and get stuck in) the tree. Ah, the holidays! But in the meantime…

Calligraphy Wedding Invitation Collection from Hazel Wonderland

We had the pleasure of featuring Meredith from Hazel Wonderland in our monthly calligraphy column back in September, so I was thrilled when Meredith sent over her latest wedding invitation collection! The collection is inspired by nature and the concept of inner beauty â€“ the perfect complements for Meredith’s lovely calligraphy.

Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Silver + Gold

I have a feeling by now you are all getting into the holiday spirit, I know I am! My very most favorite thing about holiday color schemes and festivities is the love that my most cherished color â€“ gold â€“ gets. Along with silver (Though I’m not going to lie, this post is mostly gold!), these metallics happily ring in the season all the way through to the new year. Gold has become quite the popular wedding accent, and silver has always been there as an elegant way to add a little shine so even if you aren’t getting married during the winter season, their a pair to keep an eye on. Seema + Joseph’s Whimsical Illustrated Wedding Invitations

As you saw earlier, these invitations from Mr. Boddington’s Studio won the Louie Award for best invitation suite â€“ and I couldn’t resist sharing the rest of the photos! Created for a modern Indian wedding at Chicago’s Art Center, the invitations incorporate whimsical illustrations inspired by Indian folklore â€“ all letterpress printed on thick cotton paper. Gorgeous!
