Michelle + Renzo’s Elegant Gold Foil Save the Dates

Do you like gold? Good! Then you’ll love these save the dates! Created by the talented ladies atÂ PapellerieÂ feature lots of gold foil, an elegant die cut shape, and hand tied gold ribbons with a handy magnet for displaying on the fridge. I can’t wait to see the invitations!

FromÂ Papellerie:Â We designed Michelle and Renzo’s save the dates with inspiration from Marie Antoinette. We wanted to really touch on this very decadent, lavish feel for all of their items. They came to us right from the start and we got to design all of their pieces, from save the dates to shower invitations, their wedding invitation, and all of their day-of items.

Their save the date features a custom die cut shape with a gold foil pattern on the back and two color letterpress and gold foil on the front. It was mailed to guests with hand tied ribbons and a magnet for hanging on the fridge! The envelope had an antique gold paper liner and gold foil on the flap.

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday everyone! I greedily look forward to each Friday this time of year because with every passing week we get closer to spring! I’m sure I sound like a broken record at this point, but some days it’s really all I can think about. Anyway. Our big news this week is that we just finished our first major project at home: living room built-ins! I’ll be sharing more about those soon, but I’m so happy they’re done and looking forward to a weekend of filling them with books and some of our other favorite objects. But in the meantime…

Carly + David’s Glamorous Coral and Gold Foil Wedding Invitations

Designer Alisa Bobzien sent over these wedding invitations that she recently created using one of my favorite color palettes: coral, gray, and gold foil. So classic, right? Created for a glamorous wedding in Michigan, the invitation suite includes several complementary patterns, botanical details, and of course some shiny gold foil. So pretty!

From Alisa: I created this custom invitation suite and day-of print material for a glam autumn Michigan wedding. The ingredients for this design were a range of coordinating custom patterns, a botanical element as a nod to their venue (the Planterra Conservatory), and a honeycomb pattern because the groom is a beekeeper and honey maker in Brooklyn.

I worked closely with the event designer Viva La Diva Events, who provided art direction. The invitation suite was printed on double-thick luxe cotton savoy paper with gold foil stamping, and included printed envelope liners featuring a custom pattern that coordinated with the gold motif border of the dinnerware.

Many of the guests were also from out of state so we highlighted the bride and groom’s favorite local destinations with a custom illustrated map that was included in the hotel welcome bags.

I also designed thank you notes, a welcome itinerary, signage, programs, dinner menus, cocktail menu, favor stickers, dessert signage, table numbers, escort cards and foil-stamped cocktail napkins.

Natalie’s Gold Foil Zebra Baby Shower Invitations

These gold foil baby shower invitations are so much fun for a mama-to-be fashionista! Nicole from Umama drew inspiration from mama Natalie’s plans to include lots of zebras in the nursery. To glam things up, Nicole incorporated gold foil and a sparkly gold envelope liner. So fun!

From Nicole:Â For this invitation, we wanted to celebrate Baby Sofia: the little fashionista in the making! From the start, mommy-to-be Natalie wanted a palette of gold, blush, black and white… and glitter of course! Girly and chic from a mom who is just that!

Natalie shared some inspiration from her nursery Pinterest board, and I knew we had to include zebras. They were everywhere on the board. To glam up the traditional zebra, we went gilded.

The insert cards were on a pearl blush paper, and both pieces were enclosed in a black envelope with a glittery gold envelope liner and wrap-around label. From the outside chic, from the inside, the soft girly touches!
