Stationery Show Sneak Peek: 42 Pressed

It looks like there are going to be lots of fabulous wedding invitations at this year’s Stationery Show!  Our latest sneak peek comes to us from Jackie at 42 Pressed (Booth 2066), who is celebrating the release of a brand new wedding collection and new website!  The wedding collection features fresh and modern typography combined with whimsical elements – from nautical sophistication to country flair to rustic charm.

Jackie also sent over a sneak peek of the first 42 Pressed letterpress calendar!  The calendar design features a different 2-color produce illustration for each month, inspired by the food that Jackie makes for her little baby girl who turns a year old in June.  I love the way Jackie came up with the idea for her calendar – read below for her description!

From Jackie:  This is our first ever letterpress calendar and we are SO excited about it.  I make all of our daughter’s food, so I am very conscious of what I feed her.  It can be difficult to buy everything organic, so I found myself always referring to the “dirty dozen” list of veggies: the top 12 veggies that you should always buy organic due to the high traces of pesticides found by the United States Department of Agriculture.  I wanted to design a kitchen guide that clearly indicates all produce on the list that also works as a fun kitchen calendar.

Thanks Jackie!

Stationery Show Sneak Peek: Sugar Paper

My walking list for the National Stationery Show is already well past 100 booths (which is both awesome and overwhelming), but the Sugar Paper booth is definitely at the top of that list.  The ladies of Sugar Paper are returning to the show after a couple of years away, and their latest collection looks absolutely amazing!  With lots of new greeting cards, art prints, even calendars and new gift wrap sheets making their debut, I can’t wait to see the full collection at the show!

Yay!  Thanks Chelsea and Jamie!

Stationery Show Sneak Peek: Fine Day Press

Happy Monday everyone!  We’re starting the week off with another Stationery Show sneak peek, this time from Ashley at Fine Day Press!  I love the way Ashley mixes color and pattern in her work, and the new collection debuting this weekend is no exception.  The new collection includes some fun letterpress printed birthday and thank you cards that combine gold foil with bright pink and yellow hues, pocket journals with gold foil pattern covers, and patterned coaster sets.

Fine Day Press debuted a gorgeous watercolor calendar at last year’s Stationery Show, so I’m thrilled to see the calendar make a return this year!  This year’s calendar features abstract botanical patterns in both wall and desk format.  So pretty!

Thanks Ashley – I can’t wait to see everything at the show!

Stationery Show Sneak Peek: Studio Carta + Moontree Letterpress

It’s officially less than two weeks before the National Stationery Show!  I can’t wait to walk around Javits Center and see what many of my favorite designers have been up to over the last year.  In the meantime, over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing a few sneak peeks into some of the new collections making their debuts at this year’s show.  First up, the brand new line of Leaf and Straw notecards from Moontree Letterpress and Studio Carta!

The Leaf and Straw collaboration began with a 2012 calendar, expanded to a collection of hand bound notebooks, and now these beautiful notecards!  The cards are letterpress printed in two colors on cotton paper and come with a matching envelope.  Available as single cards or in a set of six packaged in a glassine envelope, the cards are available in three lovely color combinations: red and gray, chartreuse and gray, and marigold and blue.  So pretty!

You’ll see lots more in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime you can check out Studio Carta and Moontree Letterpress!

Pretty Paper in the Office: Time to Get Organized!

With each new year comes a blank slate and the oh so familiar resolution to keep organized.  It’s all well and good at first, but it can be easy to lose your way with so may projects, papers, and bills to keep track of.  So it’s only fitting that the first Pretty Paper in the Office post of the year be a roundup of office organization arsenal.  From correspondence to finances, everyday tasks to New Year’s resolutions, I’ve got you covered!

Office Stationery - Organization

No. 1 File folder set by Lotta Jansdotter; No. 2 Desktop details calendar by Our Paper Shop; No. 3 2012 Bills calendar by REDSTARink; No. 4 Tally notebooks by Set Editions; No. 5 36 month goal tracker by Michelle Smith

Office Stationery - Organization letter ledger

I came across lots of different organizers in my search for this post.  But one of my favourites has to be The Letter Ledger by Paper & Type.  Nothing thrills me more than writing letters.  But when it comes to keeping track of whether or not I replied to my penpal or mailed that Thank You card to my aunt, I’m a scatterbrain.  This nifty ledger will put an end to that and my scavenger hunt for stamps in my drawers.
