I know I said I was finished with the calendar round-ups, but it looks like those round-ups weren’t quite done with me. Modern Illustrated Save the Dates

One of my favorite jewelry designers, Rachel from Elephantine, is getting married â€“ and I love the save the dates that she created for her wedding. Â Simple, modern, and completely adorable all at the same time.

Modern + Stylish 2011 Planners

Every calendar season, it seems like the #1 request is for daily and weekly planners that are both pretty and functional. Â For whatever reason, it can often be quite a challenge to find a planner that is useful and nice to look at.Â Â But thankfully, there are quite a few options for well-designed planners this year, and I thought I would share a few of them!

I’m so, so thrilled that Laurel Denise is bringing her 2010 yearly planner back for another round in 2011. Â Laurel’s planner was easily one of the most well-designed and useful options from 2010 and I can’t wait to pick up my 2011 edition. Â The photos above are from the 2010 edition, but this year’s version promises to be even better. Â You can read about some of the design changes here and pre-order your copy here.

Vintage-Inspired Save theÂ Dates

I’ve got lots of fun things planned for this week, but thought I would start off with some beautiful vintage-inspired save the dates from Jen at Starshaped Press. Â Jen works only with antique letterpress type and ornaments, not custom magnesium plates or photopolymer plates, so each one of Jen’s invitations and save the dates has a true vintage vibe. Â For Julie and Seth, Jen used art deco type for a 1920s and telegram-inspired save the date:

I’m always amazed by the beautiful antique fonts and details in Jen’s collection.Â For Lauren and Mark’s save the date, Jen incorporated a floral ornamental pattern along with antique type from the 1880s (!) and gold ink for a simple yet totally elegant save the date.
