Blue Birth Announcements for Baby Bruce!

Akiyo from My Dear Darling recently welcomed her first little one – a baby boy named Bruce!  When it came time to send out the birth announcements, Akiyo and her husband Brandon wanted a design that was simple and playful yet special enough for their firstborn.  I love all the different envelope liner patterns, and what could be cuter than a baby footprint?

Kate Spade Inspired Birthday Party Invitations

Don’t let the bright colors fool you – these invitations are actually for a grown-up’s birthday party.  Anastasia from Anastasia Marie recently celebrated her birthday, and when it came time to designer her birthday party invitations she was inspired by the bright colors and patterns from Kate Spade.  How fun!

From Anastasia: Printed on creamy linen paper with red, yellow, blue, and green as the color palette, these lovelies also boast colorful flower bloom pop-ups!  The Kate Spade theme was suggested to me by a friend and I jumped at the idea.  I thoroughly enjoyed making these invitations and they definitely brought a lot of color into the actual party when guests arrived decked out in bright sweaters, bows, and mustaches!

Creative Graduation Announcements

It’s been a while since I featured some graduation announcements, so when Alison from Love Citron sent over the announcements that she designed for a friend and upcoming computer science graduate, I just couldn’t resist.   Alison kept things clean with a red, black, white, and kraft paper color palette – and I love the cut out details on the front of the announcements!

From Alison: These announcements were for my close friend David, who is graduating with a degree in computer science. I wanted to make something that was modern and fun, just like him, and vaguely referenced computers.  His school colors are red, white, and black, and I added the kraft paper because he always wraps his gifts and makes cards using old grocery bags.

I also made the envelopes and printed the liners with a black-on-black pattern, because that’s his favorite printing style.  In the end, I wanted something unique and fun, that would mark this very special occasion.
