Lovely Liberty Prints

I’ve been searching for some pretty liberty print tops and dresses to wear this summer.  I think I finally found what I’ve been looking for, so I thought I’d pass the word along in case anyone else is looking for the same thing:

Vintage Postcard Place Cards

I am so loving today's weeder's digest over at design sponge, particularly these two place card ideas:

vintage postcard wedding place cards

vintage postcards wedding place cards and centerpieces
{love the vintage postcards used as place cards!}

wedding centerpieces floral fabric table runner place cards
{and the tiny flowers tucked into cloth napkins}

Both of these ideas would be perfect for either a wedding or a small dinner party – and those floral fabric table runners?  Yeah, love those, too…

Summer Flowers by Sidra Forman

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled onto the floral design work of DC-based florist Sidra Forman, and her work is so incredibly beautiful… it made me wish that I’d known about Sidra when I got married last year!

As if her flowers weren’t gorgeous enough on their own, Sidra only uses flowers that come from sustainable sources and take into account environmental and labor conditions.  She also has her own cutting garden (which is pretty incredible for someone who lives in DC!) and during the spring and summer months she is able to get nearly all of the flowers she uses from her garden and other local sources.  Amazing!

For more of Sidra’s gorgeous flowers, check out her website here and her blog – which is equal parts food and flowers and full of delicious recipes – right here.

{Real Wedding – Katy and Matt}

So normally I only feature the paper-related elements of a wedding, but since this particular wedding happens to belong to one of my very best friends, I had to make an exception.  Katy and Matt were married at the gorgeous Veritas Vineyard & Winery just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia on an absolutely beautiful Sunday afternoon:

The reception took place inside the Saddleback Hall:
