Yellow Tea Party Invitations

It looks like I'm on a bit of a yellow kick this morning! Merrilee posted these invitations that she created for a tea party (LOVE that idea), and they really couldn't be more fun — or easy to create!

Just a bit of decorative tape and some stitching and… voila! Check 'em out over at Mer Mag right here.

The Yellow Button

I thought we'd start this Monday morning off with something bright and cheery — and yellow! Jessica from Sublime Design sent over these letterpress business cards that she recently designed for a clothing boutique in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and which were printed by Invited Ink:

The cards were letterpress printed on two different papers — super-thick (140 lb, or 300 gsm) white paper for the front of the cards and 80 lb sunflower colored paper on the back — which were then fused together to create the duplex cards.

The cards were printed in three colors on the front — charcoal gray, yellow, and green — and one color (green) on the back, and given rounded edges for a more finished look:

Aren't these the cutest cards? I love the duplex printing. I'm particularly fond of the hand-drawn pattern on the reverse side of the cards, which I think is a great touch and a nice surprise for the recipient of these lovely cards.

Happy Weekend!

This has been a truly fantastic week – I can't tell you how much I appreciate you all helping me celebrate my blog anniversary. I hope you all had as much fun as I did! And of course, a HUGE thank you to Duet Letterpress, Two Trick Pony, Moontree Letterpress, Night Owl Paper Goods, Sweetbeets, Sycamore Street Press, 9SpotMonk, Laurel Denise, Linda and Harriett, Hello!Lucky, and Milkmaid Press for their generosity this week.

I hope you all have plans for a lovely weekend… I'm looking forward to visiting a friend's farm out near the Shenendoah National Park and hoping it doesn't rain (fingers crossed!). I'll see you back here again on Monday!
