Chocolate Maker’s Business Card

Apparently my theme for the week is letterpress blind stamp details — I just really can't ever get enough of them.  Yet another example, these gorgeous business cards printed by Blackbird Letterpress for Chocolate Maker's Studio via Card Observer:

Love, love the clean vertical design and crisp impression — such a beautiful card!

Red, White + Letterpress All Over

I've found myself drawn to single-color designs lately — there's just something about the simplicity of the design and the vibrancy of that single color that makes the printed result just jump right off the page (or screen).  So these red and white letterpress pieces from Boxcar Press, printed for photographer Corinna Raznikov, are just right up my alley:

I also love the blind stamp details, featuring calligraphy by The Blooming Quill:

Such amazing detail!  I love the crispness of the design and red + white palette — and I think I've discovered that I have a bit of a soft spot for anything involving a letterpress bolt shape.  Read more about this project over on the Boxcar Press blog.

Blind Impression Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Michael from Czar Press sent over this wedding invitation that he recently printed, and they are so gorgeous they really need their own post.  Just look at the beautiful letterpress details!

Czar-Press

Michael printed the invitations, designed by Splendid Press, in a champagne ink with many of the details printed in a blind (no ink) impression:

The invitation suite included the main invitation, an rsvp card, and an invitation to the rehearsal dinner:

The invitation elements were enclosed in the envelope underneath a letterpress belly band with many of the same detail elements as the invitation suite.  The outer envelopes were also letterpress printed with details from the invitation suite:

So beautiful — and of course I'm completely in love with all the amazing blind press details.  Thanks so much to Michael for sharing these invitations!

A Weekend at the Farm

Do you remember, from a couple of weeks ago, when we went to a friend’s farm in western Virginia?  We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely afternoon and I went a little camera happy as we explored the property.  I finally got around to uploading a few of the photos and thought I’d share some here with you…

It was such a gorgeous day… we immediately fell in love with our surroundings and now have dreams of moving out to a farmhouse in the countryside, which is saying a lot for these two urbanites.  It didn’t hurt that it was an absolutely gorgeous day — just look at this sky!
