Baby Growth Charts

This feels like a big milestone: but now that Sophie is fully mobile, we’re finally ready to get a growth chart! I always knew that I wanted something that we’d be able to take with us if we move, so I’m leaning towards a wooden growth chart that we can hang on the wall. Here are a few options that I currently have my eye on!

2013 Gift Guide: My Favorite Things

Um, so just kidding about that whole “last gift guide” thing! I was updating the gift idea round up page last night (which is available and updated year-round, just FYI), and realized that I really wanted to share a few of my favorite things from the round up. So here goes!

OSBP-2013-Gift-Guide-My-Favorite-Things

1. Rob Ryan Mug; 2. Kate Spade Push Pins; 3. Poppin Notebooks; 4. Muhs Home Copper + Brass Tins; 5. Russell + Hazel Acrylic Stapler; 6. Tattly Subscription!; 7. Yellow Owl Workshop Carve-a-Stamp Kit

8. Rocket Ink Print; 9. Wind + Willow; 10. Forage Copper Hair Pin Tie Bar; 11. Paper Pastries State Return Address Stamp; 12. Fig. 2 Dip Dye Note Cards; 13. Midori Brass Case via Rifle Paper Co.’s Notable Collection

1 Rob Ryan + my daily morning coffee? A match made in heaven.

3 + 12 Personalized stationery is always good gift idea! I’m loving these silver + gold initial notebooks from Poppin, and the dip-dyed note cards (in various colors) from Fig. 2 Design are some of my all-time favorites.

4 + 5 I have coveted the Muhs Home copper tins and Russell + Hazel acrylic stapler since both came out a couple years ago (I already have the matching tape dispenser). Together, they’d make any desk a very, very happy place.

8 Yay for state art! These “Home Is Where The Heart Is” prints from Rocket Ink are bold and modern, which I love – and she even has one for DC!

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday everyone! So, that whole thing about kids being sick the entire first year of school or daycare? NOT AN EXAGGERATION. We’re currently on virus number three in just under two months. I’m feeling like we can’t catch a break, but thankfully this round seems to be milder than the previous two. Thankfully, for the first time in several weeks, we have absolutely zero obligations for the weekend. We’re planning to take things easy, enjoy the last of this beautiful DC fall, and maybe do a few things around the house (maybe). I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! But in the meantime…

Seasonal Stationery: 2014 Calendars, Part 3

I love calendars for their beautiful artwork, but it can be useful to have a big calendar where our entire family can keep track of appointments and events. Naturally, I always prefer written calendars to online versions, so today I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite write-on 2014 calendars!

2014 Calendar Round Up

1. Fine Day Press; 2. Snow & Graham; 3. Laura Macchia; 4. Screech Owl Design; 5. Rob Ryan

Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Treat Bags

Your guests most certainly won’t turn down a treat to take home with them after the wedding. Am I right!? It’s become common place now to offer a dessert or candy bar, a classic family sweet, or even a ceremony snack at weddings now, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be perfectly packaged to coordinate with the rest of your day! My love for those little treat bags, whether kraft paper or striped, is undying and they’re the perfect canvas for customizing to your wedding style. Recruit your calligrapher to write a special message, or a meaningful quote, or have your wedding monogram re-printed on the bags. As I always say, it’s all in the (sweet) details. —Kelly
