this weekend…

Just about every weekend we visit our local farmer’s market – and as much as I love coming home with truly fresh produce (and flowers!), I almost always come home with the same thing weekend after weekend.  Lately, I’ve been inspired by Katy’s CSA adventures to try out some veggies that aren’t part of our regular menu.

So, this weekend we came home with:

{squash blossoms}

{purple cauliflower!}

For the squash blossoms, I’m thinking about going with Alyson’s yummy-looking recipe – and I’m thinking I’ll probably sautée the kale… but I’m still on the lookout for a good recipe for purple cauliflower.  Anyone have any suggestions?

EAD – lovely, lovely woodgrain

Today over on EAD I figured I'd continue the woodgrain and faux bois trend with a few more favorite  invitations and save the dates, like these from Swayspace:

I've posted a bunch of other fabulous invitations and Save the Dates – check out the rest of the post over on EAD right here!
Oh, and don't forget to enter the Save the Date contest from Delphine and Mohawk Paper - you can check out the details right here
Have a great weekend!

Purple + Gold Wedding Invitations

It’s been a while since I’ve seen purple wedding invitations (purple is way underrated as a wedding color if you ask me) – and I’m definitely loving this purple, chocolate brown, and gold letterpress invitation suite from Lilah Paper:

I love the way each piece is slightly different, but still part of a cohesive invitation suite.  Not to mention the fabulous purple and brown color palette – I love that amazingly vibrant shade of purple!  And how cute is this photo of the couple with the invitation?

Check out more about this invitation suite over on Event Jubilee – and you can see more from the Lilah Paper wedding portfolio right here!

Textile Artwork – Cathy Cullis

Absolutely gorgeous textile art pieces from Cathy Cullis:

I love the way her pieces are both intricate and delicate at the same time – truly beautiful work.  Some of her pieces are available through her etsy store, and you can also view her gallery here and follow her blog right here.
