Leah + Kyle’s Matte Gold Foil Wedding Invitations

I’m loving every detail in these wedding invitations from Sam and Kelly of Deliver. Art Deco-inspired details, classic typography, and stunning matte gold foil? Yes!

From Sam and Kelly: Our bride, Leah, was inspired by her delicate 1920s engagement ring. She had the brilliant idea to create a wedding that centered around the era in which her ring was made. We used the things that she loved most about her ring as inspiration for her invitation design: vintage details, delicate but ornate line work, and of course, gold.

The typography lends itself to the vintage details, while the gold and soft gray creates a sense of elegance and glam. Her entire suite was printed with a matte gold foil on a natural color paper.

Lola + Ryan’s Hand Painted Tropical Wedding Invitations

I’ve been loving tropical details of every variety for nearly a year now, so of course I’m loving these lush botanical wedding invitations from Kacey at Hoopla Love. The beautiful greenery and watercolor elements are so perfect for a tropical (or tropical-inspired) wedding! And the combination of soft pink and tropical green may just be my new favorite color palette.

From Kacey: This design was inspired by a lush garden wedding. Brides often ask me to design invitations that match their wedding flowers. For this suite, we focused on the detail within the greenery instead. The greens, subtle teals, and hints of blush infused within the gorgeous leaves creates a fresh, colorful but sophisticated look.

I love the versatility of these invitations. The botanical design and bright, rich hues work for a wedding in a tropical setting, or any garden, spring, or outdoor summer occasion.

The artwork was hand painted with watercolors. The pink, cream and orange mini pom-pom twine that binds the suite together is one of my favorite details. I found it at a vintage trim shop in New York and have been waiting for the perfect invitations to pair it with!

William’s Letterpress Calligraphy Birth Announcement

Happy Monday everyone! I couldn’t resist starting the week with these beautiful baby announcements from Sarah of August Blume for her youngest son, William. Sarah combined a hand drawn arrow pattern with beautiful calligraphy and a sweet photo of her handsome guy. A perfect combination!

From Sarah: When I was creating the birth announcement for our son, William, I wanted to reflect our gratefulness for him and his health. With a rocky start in this world, he spent quite a bit of time in the NICU. William is truly a gift, and we are so very thankful for him!

The announcement was letterpress printed on double thick 220# Lettra, and features a blind impressed pattern of hand-drawn arrows. The belly band was flat printed on one of my favorites – French Paper’s Sno Cone cover.

I commissioned Angi of Angelique Ink to letter his name in a soft yet still boy-friendly hand. My sweet and incredibly talented friend, Beth Morgan, drove over 7 hours to photograph William when he finally came home from the hospital. Letterpress, custom calligraphy, and a sweet baby! Three of my favorite things. Although, the baby takes the cake.

Printable Watercolor Paper for Envelope Liners and Place Cards

This week we’re sharing this patterned paper download with you. What we love about this simple watercolor pattern is how versatile it is. The uses for it are virtually endless. We are sure you’ll find many to use this lovely artwork and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do! –Bailey and Emma of Antiquaria

We’ve chosen to utilize this watercolor two ways: as a background for handwritten place cards and as an envelope liner. When we work with wedding clients we always try to help establish a theme that is carried throughout their wedding stationery. We love all the potential uses for this pattern!

To make your own place cards, print the pattern on 8.5″ x 11″ card stock and cut it into 3.5″ x 4″ pieces and then score them in half. We used a calligraphy pen and gold ink to customize the cards.

We continued the watercolor theme with these personal notes. Print the pattern on text weight paper and use an envelope liner template to cut them out. Adding an envelope liner is always a nice touch when sending a thoughtful personal note (or thank you note).
