National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 4

As promised, I’m back with more from this year’s National Stationery Show, with beautiful images from photographer Brian Tropiano. Â I’ve been running around the show trying to catch up with old favorites and check out the work of new exhibitors, so the last couple days have just flown by! Â First up, a first time exhibitor that is a familiar face around here â€“ Dingbat Press! Â Adrienne from Dingbat Press did an amazing job with her booth; each wall is covered with silver leaf! Â I’m loving Adrienne’s letterpress initial note cards and funny chess greeting cards.

Smock is no stranger to the Stationery Show, but their sister company Bella Figura was also exhibited for the first time at this year’s show. Â There was a lot of color going on in the joint booth, from greeting cards to gift wrap to gift boxes to calendars to wedding invitations. Â So fun!

The Ladies of Letterpress booth is a bit of a doozy â€“ with TEN designer/printers exhibiting in a shared booth. Â It’s a lot to take in all at once, but there’s so much amazing work from a group of seriously talented stationers. Â This year participating printers included Thomas Printers, Anemone Letterpress, Cleanwash Letterpress, Heartfish Press, Ink Petals, Wildhorse Press, Dandy Lion Press, Studio SloMo, Lulabelle, and Paper Lovely.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 3

It’s hard to believe that today is the final day of the Stationery Show in New York â€“ but don’t worry, I have so much more to share with you from this year’s show! Â Yesterday I was lucky enough to have photographer Brian Tropiano join me to help out on photo duty at the show, which made me a very happy blogger! Â First up today, Figs and Ginger, who put together one of my favorite booth displays for this year’s show, hands down. Â You saw a sneak peek of the new wood collection at the last Gift Fair, but the full collection of wedding and party goods made its big debut at the Stationery Show with amazing silhouette cake toppers, banners, wood signs, and dress hangers for wedding party members. Â Just stunning!

Right across the aisle, Laurel Denise was exhibiting at the show with her totally awesome calendar/planner. Â You’ll get a sneak peek at the 2012 version below, which is totally adorable with some fun patterns and multiple cover color options. Â See that large scale version that Laurel made just for her booth display? Â I’m trying to convince her to figure out how to actually make that for people to use in their own offices. Â How awesome would that be? Â I know I could use one!

After making her big debut at last year’s show, Anna from Rifle Paper Co. was back this year with even more gorgeous stationery â€“ including gold foil note cards, multiple calendars, note pads, coasters, and prints. Â So much pretty!

I always love the Linda & Harriett booth at the Stationery Show, and this year was no exception. Â This year Liz is exhibiting two calendar formats, including a hanging letterpress calendar and a totally gorgeous and larger scale watercolor calendar, along with new versions of a Linda + Harriett classic â€“ note pads!

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 2

It’s already been a whirlwind couple of days at the National Stationery Show, and I can’t wait to share more images with all of you, including some seriously creative booth displays! Â Of course, booth styling is always a huge part of exhibitor experience at the National Stationery Show, and this year’s show is no exception. Â Mr. Boddington’s Studio had one of my favorite displays at last year’s show and this year they’re back with another stunning booth â€“ both created by artist Donald Graham Hersey:

Another creative booth display, this time from a first time exhibitor: Nashville-based eco-friendly stationer Arboreal. Â I’m loving the moss displays and the gorgeous wood sign, along with the beautiful Italian-inspired cards and gift tags.

Love the royal blue walls from another first time exhibitor Banquet Atelier and Workshop, which served as the perfect backdrop for Banquet’s nature-inspired prints, note cards, and patterned gift wrap.

I’ve been so happy to see (and meet!) so many new exhibitors at this year’s show. Â Portland’s Two Guitars made its trade show debut this year, with an adorable selection of screen printed and letterpress note cards and notebooks.

I’m totally smitten with the brand new wedding invitation and greeting card collection from The Nic Studio â€“ all featuring Nicole’s playful and whimsical illustrations:

Even with all of the new exhibitors, it’s so nice to catch up with favorites from previous show. Â I first fell for Urubbu‘s folk art and nature-inspired note cards at last year’s show, and I’m loving the new additions for this year’s collection!

Lauren + Dave’s Modern Red and White Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I’m taking another quick break from this year’s Stationery Show coverage to share these sweet wedding invitations from Three Fifteen Design, with letterpress printing by Czar Press. Â For the invitation design, Ravyn from Three Fifteen Design combined modern graphic elements with a script font to complement the elegance of the wedding venue. Â I’m loving the fall-inspired red and white color palette!

From Ravyn: This suite was largely influenced by the ornate and elegant wedding venue where the couple will be married this October. Â While the couple wasÂ super excited about this really elegant location, they wanted to pull a few fun elements into the design as well. Â For the save the date card, we decided to use a photo from their engagement session byÂ Jim + Ravyn Photographers. Â We paired the photo with the same script and graphic elements that would later be used on their wedding invitation suite.

Lauren and Dave are getting married in the Fall and wanted a warm hue, but not the typical orange. Â We chose this rusty red to ad an element of rustic-sophistication. Because the save the date was a little less formal, they wanted to go all out for the invitations. We had them letterpress printed on beautiful, soft-white cotton stock. Â Czar Press did an amazing job printing the invitations & the response cards.

Again, we tried to be a little more playful with the response card, by using graphics for the meal choices and again, using the flag/banner graphic from the invitation.

We finished everything off with kraft paper envelopes from Paper Source and a custom return address stamp fromÂ RubberStamps.net.

National Stationery Show 2011 – Part 1: Big Debuts

This is always an exciting week, but this year there are a ton of new exhibitors making their trade show debut at the 2011 National Stationery Show. Â So for my first recap post, I thought I’d highlight a few of the booths making an awesome debut this year. Â First up, Minneapolis-based Printerette Press, with an adorable booth chock full of stunning letterpress greeting cards. Â From illustrations to recipe note cards to brightly colored chevron strips, this booth was simply impossible to resist.

McBitterson’s has its share of snarky cards, including some pretty hilarious holiday cards that I’m sure will make another appearance later in the year. Â But I couldn’t resist the adorable letterpress animal note cards:

I was pleasantly surprised to run into another DC resident, Katharine Watson, making her Stationery Show debut with her folk art-inspired block printed note cards, tea towels, notebooks, and canvas pouches:

My friend (and another fellow DC resident) Claudia from Fig. 2 Design Studio made her Stationery Show debut with a collection of neon-infused letterpress greeting cards, modern wedding invitations, and adorable gift tags. Â I can’t wait to give you a more in depth look at Claudia’s new collection after the show!

You saw a sneak peek of the new Fawnsberg collection last week, and the Fawnsberg ladies created the cutest and coziest booth to help showcase their boxed correspondence sets. Â From the vintage map to the hand carved wood sign, each detail perfectly complemented the new collection.
