These modern black and white save the dates are so ridiculously chic I can barely stand it. Created by the talented team of Alana and Krystal atVellum & Vogue, the save the dates feature white foil on black cotton paper on the front and a subtle blind impression pattern on the back. Absolutely stunning!
From Alana + Krystal:Â For Lauren and Derrick’s upcoming wedding in Carmel Valley, we were asked to create a save the date focused on a black and white color palette. Lauren loves stripes, so we wanted to find a creative way to incorporate this theme into her save the dates.
The front of the save the date was white foil stamped onto black cotton paper for a crisp, clean look. We also incorporated a small olive branch element, a nod to the couple’s wedding venue which features olive trees throughout the property.
For the back of the save the date, Lauren wanted to incorporate a ticking stripe pattern that was subtle and more focused on texture. To achieve this effect, we created a blind emboss of a stripe pattern similar to one the couple will be using in their wedding day décor.
The save the dates were mailed in coordinating black envelopes. We created wraparound address labels that were placed on the envelopes vertically, another subtle hint to Lauren & Derrick’s stripe theme.  The newest stamp release from the USPS, a black and white rose illustration, was the perfect complement to the suite.
Thanks Alana + Krystal!
