Reusable Felt Gift Wrap

I saw this felt gift wrap from Small Adventure on Hello!Lucky last week and thought it was an incredibly cool idea. Not only is the gift wrap entirely reusable, but it's also designed to look like mailing envelopes – complete with plastic sleeves so that you can change out the "to" and "from" labels!

The felt envelopes measure approximately 13.25" x 9.25" — so definitely big enough for any books, calendars or say, stationery sets, that you might want to give as holiday gifts.  I can't believe I'm already talking about the holidays, but you know they're going to be here before we know it!  So in case you're one of the organized few already thinking about holiday shopping, you can find these felt gift wrap envelopes right here.

Happy Weekend!

Hi everyone!  Are you all ready for the weekend?  I most definitely am!  I'm currently up in New York City for a few days on a work trip and my husband and I will be spending the weekend traipsing around the city and Brooklyn.  If you have any recommendations of cool things to do, particularly in Brooklyn, let me know!  In the meantime…

  • These paintings that Katy found are so lovely
  • Kate Headley is offering a photography workshop for photographers and bloggers!  Check out the details right here. So exciting!

That's it for me this week — I'll see you all back here on Monday.  Oh, and just a reminder to any designers out there — I'm starting to work on my 2010 calendar round-up, so don't forget to send me your calendars if you'd like them to be included!  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Blog Anniversary Giveaway – Night Owl Paper Goods!

Now that it's September, my favorite designers are all in the process of releasing their 2010 calendar designs — and I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to give away two 2010 calendars from Night Owl Paper Goods!  This year, they've created two designs, one featuring adorable critters and another featuring beautiful pattern designs, and I've got two calendars — one of each design — to give away to a couple of lucky readers. Yay!

So here's how to enter: head on over to the Night Owl Paper Goods website and choose your preference of calendar design — either critters or pattern.  Then come back here to leave a comment with your choice of calendar design and a date (both month and day) that is meaningful to you, whether an anniversary, birthday, or other special event.  You must include a valid e-mail in the comment form (not the body of the comment) for your entry to qualify.  You'll have until 11:59 p.m. EST tomorrow, September 10, to enter.  Bonne chance!
UPDATE: Congratulations to Kathleen and Rebekka, winners of the pattern and critters calendars! I'll be sending them to you shortly!

My First (Blog) Anniversary

So as I mentioned last week, my blog's one year anniversary is coming up next week on September 8.  I thought it might be fun to organize a few giveaways to help celebrate, so I've put together a full week with a bunch of wonderful contributions from a few of my favorite design studios.

So here's the plan: I will be posting at least one giveaway per day – most days two – from the participating designers.  You'll see lots of familiar faces around here, including Two Trick Pony, Night Owl Paper Goods, Hello!Lucky, 9SpotMonk, Laurel Denise, Linda + Harriett, Moontree Letterpress, Sycamore Street Press, and Duet Letterpress (yay!).  There will be something for everyone next week, from wedding invitations to thank you cards to calendars.

But since there will be a lot going on next week, the timeframe for each giveaway will be pretty short, so you'll want to make sure that you check in every day (even Monday!) to enter.  And since I'm sure a lot of you will be taking off for the long weekend, I wanted to give you plenty of notice to make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun!

I'm so excited to be celebrating my blog anniversary with all of you – its been an amazing first year, and so much of that is because you all choose to stop by here every week.  Thank you all so much for reading, and I hope you all enjoy next week as much as I will!

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about all of you, but this week has just flown by for me – I almost can't believe it's Friday already!  I'm super-excited for the weekend, since tonight we're going to see the Flaming Lips and tomorrow I get to meet Jenna!  But in the meantime…

That's it from me for this week — but I'll be back next week with more real invitations and details about the giveaways for my upcoming one-year blog anniversary!  So.  Excited.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday!
