Hopefully it’ll be gone by next week, and thankfully my husband has a three day weekend – because trying to care for an 8 week-old baby while sick? No fun. But in the meantime…

Jessica + Dan’s Modern Chevron Stripe Save the Dates

Happy Election Day everyone!  Have you already voted?  I’m looking forward to watching the election results tonight, but I have to admit that I will be so, so glad to finally have this particular election cycle behind us.  But for now, let’s turn our attention to this bright and modern save the date suite from the talented team at Inclosed!  Designer and printer Lesley Pick was inspired by Jessica and Dan’s playful wedding style to create an accordion save the date with a chevron stripe motif and heart shaped reminder stickers.  So fun!

From Lesley: Jessica and Dan’s save the dates gave their guests a sneak peek at the fun celebration to come. With a wedding theme featuring milk glass, chevron patterns, heart die-cuts and a primary color palette… their guests were in for a treat!

The front and back cover of the accordion save the date features a blind deboss chevron pattern with letterpress printed text in a retro font. The inside features a gray and white chevron pattern that was digitally printed along with reminder “label your calendar” stickers for their guests’ home and work calendars.

Seasonal Stationery: 2013 Calendars, Part 2

Before we all go running off for the weekend, just a quick note to let you all know that I’ve been busy adding some more beautiful 2013 calendars to the round-up page!

2013 Calendar Round Up via Oh So Beautiful Paper

Recent additions include updated versions of some of my favorite 2012 calendars along with a bunch of brand new calendars, including the amazing large scale screen printed calendar from Linda + Harriett (above) that I went absolutely gaga for during the National Stationery Show in May and a calendar from Mr. Boddington’s Studio (yay!).  I’m also seriously impressed by the 2013 letterpress calendar from Satsuma Press (above), which features seven (!) jewel tone colors in a modern geometric pattern – I just had to include a detail image above to highlight the intricate design.

Happy Friday everyone!  Time is still kind of relative with a one month-old newborn at home, but this weekend really snuck up on me!  This was my husband’s last week of paternity leave, so we’ve been trying to squeeze in some fun activities around DC before he goes back to work.  Luckily Sophie loves to be in the Ergo and pretty much sleeps through an entire outing.  I’ll admit to being kind of nervous about being on my own with Sophie during the day starting next week, but hopefully we’ll get the hang of things without too much trouble.  I’ll find out soon!  But in the meantime…

I love Fall for a variety of reasons: changing leaves, cooler temperatures, hearty food, and of course the arrival of all the gorgeous calendars for next year!  Naturally, I’ve been eagerly watching my favorite designers roll out their newes calendars over the past few weeks.  This year, I’ve decided to make things a bit easier for all of you by putting my favorite calendars all in one place, from tea towel calendars to desk calendars to write-on wall calendars.  I’ve picked out a few select favorites (so far!) below, but definitely check out the full collection of 2013 calendars right here!
