If any of you are planning to incorporate a bird theme in your wedding invitations, then you’ll absolutely love these letterpress lovebird wedding invitations from Spark Stationery:

I love the mix of modern and rustic design elements – not to mention all the sweet details in this Lucinda invitation suite (available in the Spark Stationery wedding album) from the little birds to the woodgrain details and abstract pattern leaves. And how cute is the wording of the invitation – “request your presence under the tree as they exchange marriage vows” – love it!  Check out a few more details right here.

Cupcakes and Flourishes

I'm smitten with these sweet little letterpress flat notes from Missive – you can use them as either place cards or gift tags!  The cupcake versions below would be so perfect for a birthday party or shower:

Paperfinger

A couple of weeks ago, when I was up in New York for a few days, I had a chance to (finally) meet up in person with Bryn from Paperfinger.  I've been a big fan of Bryn's work for a while now, and have continued to follow her work via her blog with great interest.  It was so nice to get to know Bryn a bit better, and the best part was that she gave me the most amazing set of business cards with her beautiful calligraphy!

Each one is completely unique, which of course means I'm absolutely unable to pick a favorite, but here are a few that I just had to share with you:

I love each one so much!  Since they're all unique, each one is like a tiny work of art – and I love the way each one showcases Bryn's different and beautiful calligraphy styles.  Thanks Bryn!

Do you have a favorite from the cards above?

Happy Weekend!

I totally forgot that this was a long weekend (here in the U.S. anyway) – which now has me even more excited for the weekend to begin!  We have no special plans this weekend, but I'm dying to get out of the city for a day or two – go apple picking or something fun and totally appropriate for Fall.  But in the meantime…

…here are a few things I've enjoyed this week:

  • Elizabeth Messina takes the most beautiful photographs…
  • Big contratulations to Chelle Paperie on their new line of wedding invitations with Garnish!
  • Another big congratulations to Ez and Marichelle on their new venture together – I'm really looking forward to seeing all the new goodies from Nice Package!
  • Aran's amazing new recipes (and gorgeous photography, as always) have me so thankful for Fall…
  • I so loved Jim and Pam's wedding on the Office last night - if you haven't yet seen it, my U.S.-based readers can watch the two part episode here and here, or this sweet and hilarious excerpt here
  • I love the typography on these English wine bottles
  • If you're like me and love pumpkins but have absolutely no talent when it comes to carving, check out these ideas from Twig & Thistle
  • More lovely work from Bryn at Paperfinger – this time escort cards and illustrated table signs
  • Single serving pies!

Have a lovely weekend – I'll see you all back here on Tuesday!

Salt Shaker Flower Arrangements

LOVE this idea from Sunday Suppers – using old or vintage salt and pepper shakers as vases for tiny flower arrangements:

I was actually just thinking about doing something like this the other night.  I just got a pair of new salt and pepper shakers (from Bailey Doesn’t Bark) and now need to find a new use for my old glass set – plus I’ll take just about any excuse to bring more fresh flowers home with me.  And how lovely would these look scattered over a table as centerpiece arrangements during a wedding?
