NSS 2010 – Part 2

I'm still up in NYC roaming around the Stationery Show — and enjoying every second of it, as you might expect from someone who loves paper as much as I do!  I've been so impressed by all of the booths so far, so here are a few of my favorites…

I was definitely impressed by the work on display in the Austin Press section of the Aesthetic Movement booth — everything was letterpress printed on super-thick museum board for an even more luxurious look and feel:

It was so nice to see Tara from Ink + Wit — not to mention all the new products she debuted at the show!  From tea towels to mobiles to rubber stamps to posters, Tara has certainly been busy:

Fine Day Press is a new company making its official debut at this year's Stationery Show — although you'll probably remember Ashley's amazing gocco-meets-letterpress wedding invitations from last year.  I loved the washi tape booth display, not to mention the sweet cards and beautiful wedding invitations:

NSS 2010 — Part 1

The first day of the Stationery Show was quite a whirlwind!  Ami and I have been running all over the show trying to visit as many booths as possible, although I feel like I’ve barely even made a dent in my list of booths!  I already have a ton of photos to share with you, but I thought I’d start off with a few booths either new or newly returned to the Stationery Show this year.

First up, the lovely Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co., with an incredibly well designed booth display.  If you look closely, you might even be able to see that her side walls have a woodgrain texture!

I absolutely fell in love with the booth for Mr. Boddington’s Studio.  The hand-crafted details, from the painting and hand-drawn details to the faux window displays, were just incredible — even the roof shingles were made from envelope liners!

From there, Ami and I eventually made our way down to Atelier Isabey, where we spent quite a bit of time gazing at gorgeous wedding invitations.  The laser cut invitation immediately below is one of my new favorites!

Stay tuned for lots more from the Stationery Show soon!

NSS Bound – Albertine Press

My last NSS sneak peak comes from Albertine Press — they've been hard at work creating a library for their collection of beautifully patterned letterpress cards and it's making it's big debut at this year's show!

Albertine-library

Each volume of the Letterpress Library houses a different set of note cards with cover designs that recall classic book covers.  This is definitely a sneak peek that I can't wait to see in person — although I might have to resist the urge to bring an entire set back home with me…

{happy weekend!}

Hooray!  The big weekend has finally arrived!  The Stationery Show officially kicks off on Sunday, and I’m heading off to New York bright and early tomorrow morning.  I can’t wait to see everyone at the show!  For those of you on twitter, you can follow my progress through the show here, or follow this list that I’ve created just for the show.  I’ll be sharing photos from the show here on OSBP all next week, but in the meantime…

…a few links for your weekend!

Also, I’m honored to have been featured over at the Bright Side Project this week!  The lovely ladies of BSP asked me to share a few of my favorite things — and you can enter to win a few of those picks!  Check it out right here!

I’ll be sharing a couple more NSS sneak peeks over the weekend before full NSS coverage starts on Monday — so stay tuned!

Lovely Garlands

Loving these dreamy butterfly garlands from This Neck of the Woods this morning:

I can totally see these being used as decor for a wedding, shower, or birthday party – or even as a playful accent for a beautifully wrapped gift!  Here's a version with scallops:

You can find more versions – or request a custom garland – over at This Neck of the Woods!
