Happy Friday everyone! Â Are you excited for the weekend? Â I’ve got a long to-do list for this weekend (isn’t that always the case though?), but I know I’ll definitely be fitting in time to go to a movie with my husband. Â He’s been waiting for this particular movie to come out all summer! Â But in the meantime…

Katie’s Red + Orange Baby Shower Invitations

We’re almost at the end of another summer week, so what better way to help transition to the weekend than with these bright (and sunny!) red and orange letterpress baby shower invitations?

Miguel from Heavy Metal Letterpress created these baby shower invitations for his sister (congrats Katie!), stitching together the tops of two sheets of cotton paper for a playful design:

Ribbons of Red

I’m usually not the biggest fan of the color red, but today I’m really digging the contrast between the bright red and crisp white on these letterpress business cards designed by Ribbons of Red and printed by Angel Bomb Design:

Papercut Wedding Invitations

These papercut Save the Dates and wedding invitations by Julene Harrison are beyond gorgeous:

For both the Save the Date and wedding invitation, the bride and groom had the main element laser cut from an original papercut from Julene, then attached the laser cut to a piece of pink card stock:

Mara has been a teensy bit busy lately, having just recently graduated from grad school, packed up her house, and has spent the last couple of months traveling around India and England! Â In addition to the commissioned pieces above, Mara’s work has been featured in the most recent issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and she’s currently in the process of revamping her already-beautiful website. Â But in the meantime, you can check out Mara’s blog for other recent projects, and hopefully we’ll see more of her work back here again soon!
