Other than the arrival of fall, the end of September means only one thing – and that’s calendar round-ups!  A few of my favorite stationery shops have already listed their calendars, with more to come over the next few weeks.  So I thought I’d get a head start with the first installment of the year!
First up, one of my perennial favorites, letterpress and silk screened desk calendars from Ilee. Â I’m loving the January design, inspired by the Year of the Rabbit on the Chinese zodiac!

I absolutely love the design of the 2011 calendar from SeeSaw! Â This year, the ladies at SeeSaw were inspired by vintage textiles, and the calendar features gold foil and gray letterpress in beautiful geometric shapes:

We caught a sneak peek of this calendar at the National Stationery Show – and the 2011 calendar from Sycamore Street Press is now available!  The illustrations were inspired by the wildlife around Eva and Kirk’s home in Utah:
Another perennial favorite that we also saw at the Stationery Show, the gorgeous calendars from Linda & Harriett! Â Each month features a perforated post card at the bottom that you can detach and send to a friend. Â There’s also a fantastic perpetual calendar that’s great for keeping track of birthdays or anniversaries.
Every year I like to get at least one fabric calendar to go along with my annual collection of paper calendars (I may or may not have at least 5 calendars scattered throughout my home), and I’m loving these fabric calendars from Lisa Rupp.  The calendars are available in two designs – one with floral illustrations and another with hot air balloons:
Flora and Fauna Press also created two calendars for 2011 – a large 3-color letterpress poster-style calendar, and a smaller desk calendar inspired by marine life:
Also along the marine life theme – the 2011 mini calendar from Blackbird Letterpress features a Louisiana blue crab calendar pad with tear-off months:
From Dizzy Wizzy Design out in Australia, a fun desk calendar with space to jot down notes on the reverse side:
Or turn calendars into a fun family craft project with these printable calendars from A Little Hut:
For even more variety and options, one canoe two has created FOUR gorgeous poster-style letterpress calendars for 2011:
That’s it for now, but I’ll be back with many more calendars over the next couple of weeks!
p.s. If you have a calendar that you’d like to submit for a round-up installment, feel free to send them to me right here!

Earlier this year, Derek and Kim, the husband and wife designers behind RageHaus, sent over a set of vintage-inspired Save the Dates that they printed for friends Katy and Jason. Â Well, after recently relocating to Brooklyn, Kim and Derek are back with Katy and Jason’s wedding invitations! Â For the follow-on invitations, Kim and Derek continued with the color palette and vintage typography-inspired design elements from the Save the Dates.
From Kim: Katy and Jason wanted a modern wedding invitation with a major emphasis on strong typography. Â The wedding will take place in Boston, so we drew a majority of our inspiration from old Boston signage.
With the ceremony being held at The Hampshire House, an historic Boston mansion, we decided to pull in some luxurious elements to the design.
Between the strong typography and the delicate ornaments and flourishes, we were able to create a modern, yet elegant, wedding invitation.
The entire set was screen printed by hand.  For the the invitation, white and light pink ink was printed on French Paper‘s Wine Speckletone.
For the reply card, we brought in Pink Lemonade Pop Tone to accentuate the light pink ink on the invitation. Â Maroon ink was matched to the wine color of the invitation and printed on both the reply card and envelope.
The entire invitation set was finished with a French Paper’s Aged Parchtone belly band. Â The monogram printed on the belly band was from their save the date.
Thanks so much Kim and Derek! Â You can also check out more from Kim and Derek over on their website and flickr page, and you can see Katy and Jason’s Save the Dates (along with a bunch of others) over in the Save the Date gallery!

Just in case you were curious, here’s a little sneak peek at one of the projects that I was working on this weekend…
We managed to squeeze some fun in, too, including a trip to our neighborhood festival.  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
{photos by me}
How is it Friday already?!  This week has completely flown by for me – which I’m sure is at least partly due to the fact that I seem to be testing my limits regarding the total number of projects that I can handle all at once.  This weekend is shaping up to be a working weekend for me, but this kind of busy is the best kind of busy, so I’m not complaining.  I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend!  But in the meantime…
…a few links for your weekend reading!
…and just in case you missed it, a quick summary of this week’s posts:
That’s it for me this week! Â I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and I’ll see you back here on Monday!
