Olivia’s Country Carnival-Inspired Birthday Party Invitations

Sarah from The Happy Envelope sent over these adorable invitations that she created for a country carnival-inspired birthday party.  Such a fun theme for a fall birthday celebration!  The double-sided invitations were printed in pretty orange and green inks, then placed in mailing boxes and tied up with a ribbon and lollipop.  So cute!

From Sarah: These invitations were letterpress printed on ultra-thick, luxurious Crane 4-ply paper in a bright orange ink on the front and a mossy green on the back.  The invitations were placed into chartreuse mailing boxes from Paper Source filled with festive, colorful foam balls and then tied with a pumpkin lollipop and cheery ribbon.  An antique pumpkin illustration paired with vintage-style type and a woodgrain pattern all come together for a perfect country carnival mood!

Thanks Sarah!

Caitlin + Sean’s Watercolor Wedding Invitations

I’ve had these beautiful watercolor wedding invitations from Constellation & Co. bookmarked for the longest time and just couldn’t wait any longer to share them.  Sara and Brad from Constellation & Co. combined letterpress text with a wash of watercolor, making each invitation completely unique and absolutely stunning!

Sara & Brad designed these wedding invitations for a late summer wedding in Victoria, British Columbia.  Each invitation was watercolor painted by hand to represent the last moments of sunshine as summer becomes fall.  So pretty!

Constellation & Co. is a member of the Designer Rolodex – you can see more of their beautiful work right here or visit the real invitations gallery for more wedding invitation ideas!

Papercut Artwork from Tena Letica

In my book, papercut artists are basically magicians.  Probably because I lack even a fraction of the incredible skill and patience that goes into making these delicate art pieces.  I came across the gorgeous work of Zagreb, Croatia-based artist Tena Letica a few weeks ago, and instantly fell in love with her whimsical creations.  Here are a few of her recent projects!

From Tena: After getting a degree in Industrial Design and working in a graphic design studio I decided to take the rather insecure road of freelancing.  My recent work mostly revolves around papercutting and paper engineering and those long hours spent at the studio usually result in whimsical characters cut out of paper.  Finding my inspiration in vintage cartoons, I try to keep my work simple and sharp with a dose of humor.  I like to keep things handmade as much as possible because those small differences in actual pieces make each piece unique.

Thanks Tena!  Check out more of Tena’s beautiful papercut work right here!

You already know Antiquaria from their awesome DIY rubber stamp tutorials right here on OSBP.  I’ve been a big fan of Antiquaria ever since co-founders Emma and Bailey first teamed up on Emma’s vintage-inspired southwestern wedding invitations in 2009.  Antiquaria just opened up their custom wedding invitation design studio – congrats ladies!  You can check out their full portfolio right here, and I’m including some of my favorite designs below.
