Papercut Wedding Invitations

These papercut Save the Dates and wedding invitations by Julene Harrison are beyond gorgeous:

For both the Save the Date and wedding invitation, the bride and groom had the main element laser cut from an original papercut from Julene, then attached the laser cut to a piece of pink card stock:

Lovely Calligraphy from Neither Snow

I’ve been a long-time fan of the gorgeous calligraphy from Mara at Neither Snow – and I’m thrilled to finally be featuring her work today!  As you’ll see below, Mara’s calligraphy combines haunting romanticism with a modern sensibility for an absolutely beautiful result:

Mara has been a teensy bit busy lately, having just recently graduated from grad school, packed up her house, and has spent the last couple of months traveling around India and England!  In addition to the commissioned pieces above, Mara’s work has been featured in the most recent issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and she’s currently in the process of revamping her already-beautiful website.  But in the meantime, you can check out Mara’s blog for other recent projects, and hopefully we’ll see more of her work back here again soon!

Kids Party Invitations, Part 3

This week, I’ve selected a few more kids party invitations to feature – ranging from girly to goofy.  First up, these playful yet sophisticated (well, at least as sophisticated as you can be for a 2 year-old) birthday party invitations from Chellé Paperie.  The tiny celebrant has a fondness for poodles, so the ladies at Chellé Paperie incorporated that love into the invitation in the form of a poodle silhouette – what a fun idea!

Next up, these garden-inspired letterpress invitations from Jennifer at The Paper Peony.  Jennifer kept things girly and fun with a pink and green color palette, as well as birds, butterflies, and little vines and flowers throughout the invitation:

The Dr. Seuss books were some of my favorites to read when I was a kid, so I was super excited when Amber from Sweet Life Designs sent over these Cat in the Hat-themed invitations that she did for her son’s first birthday!  Amber included a photo collage of her son wearing a Cat in the Hat hat along with the invitation, all packaged together in a red box with crinkly blue stuffing to represent Thing 1 and Thing 2.  So cute!

Lovely Die Cut Business Cards

Happy Monday everyone!  I always like to start the week off with something pretty, so I was thrilled when Paola from Just Chic Events, a wedding and event planning firm in Los Angeles, sent over her gorgeous new letterpress business cards.  Paola worked with Katie from Poppy Flower Press to create a lovely pink and gray die cut business card:

From Paola:  I recently went through quite a rehaul on my company’s branding and decided to get new business cards to go along with the new look and feel of the entire site and blog.  The business cards needed to be romantic and soft, but clean and focused – and really make a statement.

I am obsessed with letterpress and actually made my logo quite simple because I knew that I’d want to go that direction for my business cards.  I also knew that I really wanted my cards to stand out.

I decided to get them custom die cut to follow the frame shape of my logo.  Katie at Poppy Flower Press did the design work and letterpress printing.  They turned out spectacular!!

Congratulations on the new cards Paola – they’re just beautiful!
