Hudson’s Hand Lettered Birthday Party Invitations

I love seeing all these wonderful kid birthday party invitations! These 4th birthday party invitations from Grey Snail Press feature a citrus-inspired color palette of orange, yellow, and green, whimsical hand lettering, and a whole lot of balloons!

From J: I had so much fun creating these invitations! We came up with the verse “pizza, cake, bouncing & more” to give guests a taste of what to expect at the party, followed by all the important details. Everything was hand-lettered and drawn before adding watercolor accents.

The invitations were printed flat on 110# cotton Lettra paper and paired with a bright green envelope. We created a custom pattern for the envelope liners in orange and white covered in fours. RSVPs weren’t needed, but we included a phone number for which to direct any questions. We played up the balloons and printed the information on lime paper cut in the shape of a balloon and added baker’s twine to each balloon.

We hand lettered the envelopes in white ink while carrying over the balloon motif. One of my favorite parts was the round Batman stamp, perfect for a 4-year-old superhero.

Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Shades of Ocean Blue

It must be that we have warm weather and beach days on the brain, but washes of blue sure are making there way onto the wedding scene. From watercolor calligraphy to backgrounds on stationery, gorgeous hues of blue are trending. Keep it dusty for a classic feel, or go a bit brighter if you want a modern touch. Here are a few of my favorites to inspire your day of stationery. –Lauren

Lola + Ryan’s Hand Painted Tropical Wedding Invitations

I’ve been loving tropical details of every variety for nearly a year now, so of course I’m loving these lush botanical wedding invitations from Kacey at Hoopla Love. The beautiful greenery and watercolor elements are so perfect for a tropical (or tropical-inspired) wedding! And the combination of soft pink and tropical green may just be my new favorite color palette.

From Kacey: This design was inspired by a lush garden wedding. Brides often ask me to design invitations that match their wedding flowers. For this suite, we focused on the detail within the greenery instead. The greens, subtle teals, and hints of blush infused within the gorgeous leaves creates a fresh, colorful but sophisticated look.

I love the versatility of these invitations. The botanical design and bright, rich hues work for a wedding in a tropical setting, or any garden, spring, or outdoor summer occasion.

The artwork was hand painted with watercolors. The pink, cream and orange mini pom-pom twine that binds the suite together is one of my favorite details. I found it at a vintage trim shop in New York and have been waiting for the perfect invitations to pair it with!
