4 Year Blog Anniversary + Giveaway! Wedding Invitations from 42 Pressed

It’s hard to believe that it has already been four years since I started Oh So Beautiful Paper â€“ half on a whim and half at the urging of an intuitive husband who knew I needed a creative outlet beyond redecorating our apartment every six months. Â I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share beautiful paper with all of you every day and for the amazing friendships and relationships that I’ve developed over the last four years, from fellow bloggers to readers to amazingly talented designers and stationers. Â So today we’re celebrating with a fantastic giveaway!

Jackie from 42 Pressed is offering a lucky reader the chance to win letterpress wedding invitations from their collection! Â The winner will receive 100 2-color letterpress wedding invitations, along with coordinating rsvp cards and envelopes. {happy weekend â€“ and a quick update}

Happy Friday everyone! Â I was already excited for this weekend â€“ our baby shower is on Sunday and I’m really looking forward to seeing our friends and family members coming to town to help celebrate. Â And remember last week, when I said that it looked like the baby might be coming a bit earlier than expected? Â Well, next week is the big week! Â I have a bunch of fun posts ready for you all for next week â€“ including an AWESOME giveaway coming up on Monday that you definitely won’t want to miss â€“ followed by some fantastic guest bloggers who will be helping to fill in while I’m away getting to know our little one for a few weeks. Hand Painted Ceramics – Asleep From Day

Normally Fridays are all about pretty paper artwork, but I recently came across these adorable hand painted and illustrated ceramics from Asleep From Day and couldn’t resist sharing. I’m completely smitten with the mugs in particular, but the vases, candle holders, and platters are just as fantastic. Here are a few of my favorites!

Calligraphy Inspiration: Hazel Wonderland

I’m really excited to share the work of this month’s calligrapher. I first saw her work via Instagram, which lead me to her website. Her work resonated with me as I kept coming back. I’m talking about the work ofÂ Meredith C. Bullock of Hazel Wonderland. HerÂ firstÂ commissioned calligraphy job was at the young age of 16; not to say she’s old, but she’s been doing this for a while, and it shows! She’s definitely a person who adores making weddings beautiful, as she also operatesÂ The Brides Hairstylist. On top of that, Meredith is talented artist. (Peeks of her work are available on Instagram.) It’s as clear as day that her artistry transfers to her calligraphy, as well. – Julie

I adore this suite of kraft, white, and blue. It has the warmth of wood in autumn with the cool tones of a dark winter’s night. Perfect for weddings of those seasons.

The ebb and flow of her lines floor me. I get lost following them to and fro. I’m not sure how something can be so elegant and laid back at the same time, but it’s a feeling she’s achieved with ease in her work.

Hazel Wonderland’s shop is closed this week, as Meredith is preparing for an exhibition, but don’t fret!
