Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Mint
I tend to gravitate towards bright, vibrant colors (Remember this post all about emerald?), but when springtime begins to roll around, pastels start tugging at my heart. Mint appears to be the “it” pastel of the season and I am not complaining! The hue happens to pair perfectly with gold, too, making me love it just that much more. Here are a few wonderful ways to incorporate this springy shade into your wedding day! — Kelly

Katie + Andrew’s Black and White Woodgrain Wedding Invitations
Woodgrain is one of my favorite textures for wedding invitations: it’s such a design chameleon! It can be modern, rustic, whimsical, or even a subtle accent for a formal invitation to a black tie affair. Lesley from Inclosed Studio designed these sweet invitations for a backyard barn wedding, incorporating the woodgrain texture into a black and white design with neutral accents and a bright envelope liner. So pretty!
From Lesley: Katie and Andrew’s invitation is letterpress printed with a blind wood grain impression. The information was then letterpress printed on top with black ink. The couple was having a backyard barn wedding and we knew we wanted to incorporate woodgrain, but wanted it to be subtle and pretty.
We love the simplicity of the design and neutral color palette combined with the pop of color in the envelope liner.
Thanks Lesley!

Emma + David’s Beach Inspired Destination Wedding Invitations
We’re definitely starting to see real signs of spring here in DC, but just a few weeks ago I would have given just about anything for a tropical beach vacation! Sara from Inkprint Letterpress created these invitations and day-of stationery for a December destination wedding in Costa Rica. I’m loving the coral and turquoise color palette and all the beach-inspired design elements!
From Sara: Working with Emma and David was an amazing experience. Emma and David were married in Costa Rica. Emma is the sweetest, most laid back bride I have ever met: she knew her style and what she wanted but was also open to ideas and input! They already had a map created by The Wandering Whale that they wanted to incorporate in the suite, and they knew they wanted to include the teal and coral with some abstract beach designs.
When they visited Costa Rica prior to the wedding, they realized the colors were much more vibrant there, so they asked me to make the coral more intense for the day of stationery. They also wanted me to incorporate a coral motif, which was present on pillows they used as decoration.
Thanks Sara!
