Shabby Chic Linen Save the Dates

I’m a big fan of invitations that involve fabric, so I was thrilled when Valentina from CUTandPASTE sent over these linen Shabby Chic-inspired save the dates that she designed for a wedding later this spring.

From Valentina: The couple desired something with a vintage-shabby style so I’ve created this multi-layered, crafty, and natural save the date composed by a small tag with their monogram, a custom hand-stamped linen fabric, and a warm white save the date enclosure – all sewed together.  The warm white and light brown color palette represents the couple’s soft and gentle style.

Kim + John’s Letterpress Airmail Wedding Invitations

I love travel-inspired elements on wedding invitations, and I’m officially a happy camper when designers combine a sense of global wanderlust with the signature red and blue pattern of an airmail envelope.  Well, Kathleen from & Kathleen Design did just that with her latest wedding invitation, and the result couldn’t be more stunning!

From Kathleen: Kim & John stumbled across my work while searching for a fun airmail invitation design.  They immediately hired me to design their own custom wedding invitations.  Kim and John only needed an invitation card – nothing else – so we decided to make it extra special by having it letterpress printed on a thick matte cover stock paper.

I kept the colors a classic red and blue and from there designed a custom invitation within the traditional striped airmail border.  Kim & John were ecstatic to receive the final prints and I was thrilled to have another happy client.

Modern Gold + Rose Arabic Wedding Invitations

Our first set of wedding invitations today come to us all the way from Dubai!  Mariam from Natoof Design sent over a gorgeous and modern wedding invitation suite that she designed for a wedding this past October.  The wedding theme revolved around the rose petal and a color palette of gold and white, so Mariam incorporated a gorgeous die cut rose and beautiful gold foiling throughout the invitation.

From Mariam: The invitation couldn’t be more delicate and elegant with two die cut rose shapes folded to reveal golden metallic paper inside.  The Arabic calligraphy wordings were gold foiled and we included a small pocket to hold the VIP entrance cards.

Not wanting to defer the attention from the invitation, we used a plain white envelope with flower shape cut in the middle to show the invitation inside.

Mariam and her design team also created several accompanying pieces over a 3-month period, including: rose pendants, entrance cards, stickers for box gifts and tissue boxes, and gift tags.
