Quick Pick: Fawnsberg

I’m a longtime fan of the beautiful return address stamps from the talented sisters of Fawnsberg (see the evidence here and here!), so naturally I’m loving their latest stamp collection! In addition to several beautiful return address stamps, the ladies of Fawnsberg also designed a couple of gift stamps with the holidays in mind. Each stamp is cut from red rubber and mounted on a solid maple base with a painted red handle. Just beautiful!

Sophie’s Nursery Inspiration

When we moved into our house back in March, we made sure to unpack and set up Sophie’s nursery as quickly as possible. We already had Sophie’s crib, a dresser and glider, and the ubiquitous Expedit for additional storage, but we didn’t do much else other than plop some furniture into the room. So while the room is functional, it’s far from finished – or really decorated in any meaningful way. We haven’t even painted! I’ve settled on this card from Rifle Paper Co. as my color inspiration for Sophie’s room, with neutral light gray walls, a mint green ceiling, and accents of pink, coral, teal, yellow, and gold. I have lots of artwork on the way for the walls (more on that soon!), but I’m excited to incorporate some fun new elements into the room – and to paint her bedroom door pink!

Quick Pick: Julie Song Ink

The closer we get to the holidays, the more I crave all things glittery and sparkly. I think it’s a result of the shorter days and longer nights of late fall and winter! Anyway, I was thrilled when calligrapher Julie Song added these sparkly gold foil coasters and calligraphy art prints to her Etsy shop! As if those weren’t enough, she also has some fun prints, iphone cases, and pillowcases in her Society6 shop!

Lauren + Daniel’s Historic Charleston Save the Dates

We’re on a hand painting roll these days! First Julie and Bo’s hand painted watercolor wedding invitations, and now these stunning save the dates from Studio R! The ladies of Studio R – Rachael, Megan, and Amanda Claire – created these save the dates for a wedding in the low country: Charleston, South Carolina. Inspired by Old Charleston charm, the save the dates feature a quatrefoil pattern belly band and hand painted map of Charleston. Love!

From Amanda Claire at Studio R: Our bride came to us inspired by the aesthetic charm of historic Charleston, South Carolina, where she and her fiancé Daniel were married. We took her inspiration and created a stacked, two-card save the date. The soft gray cards were wrapped in a pale blue belly band that included the couple’s monogram and a quatrefoil pattern to mimic shapes found in traditional Charleston architecture.

We used a local calligrapher’s hand lettering throughout the stationery, complimenting the hand painted elements of the Charleston map on the second insert card. The watercolor map orients guests to wedding weekend venues and accommodations. The subdued color palette of the inks and papers complements the coastal landscape of the city. Our fine art skills were showcased in this set with a custom watercolor painting, hand drawn map icons and hand lettering.
