Paloma’s Pink + Playful First Birthday Party Invitations

I love a kid’s party invitation that is just all about fun and celebration, and these birthday party invitations from Nichole of Coral Pheasant definitely fit the bill!  Nichole was inspired by the uber-girly inspiration board created by the birthday girl’s mama, with lots of pink, playful fonts, and a scallop border – not to mention beautiful calligraphed addresses.  So cute!

From Nichole: When an old college friend reached out to me to design a first birthday invitation for her daughter Paloma, I knew we were in for some fun.  As an artist herself, Audra had been busy developing a pink piggy-themed inspiration board on Pinterest filled with graphic patterns and loads of tulle and ruffles.  With so much eye candy I quickly developed a super-sweet invitation for the most adorable little girl.

The design is a mix of a playful script and a chunky modern font with varying shades of pink and the scalloped edge adds a playful touch to the piece.  A small photo card documenting each month of Paloma’s first year was tucked into a glassine envelope and mailed with the invitation.  Hands down, my favorite part of the suite is the piggy snout and curly tail label that wraps around the shimmer pink mailing box sealing it shut.  Audra completed the suite by penning the beautiful calligraphy on all of the boxes.  She is one talented mama!

Thanks so much Nichole!

Zayra + Ivan’s Vintage-Inspired Gray + Celadon Wedding Invitations

These wedding invitations are so pretty!  Created by Erin from Lucky Luxe Couture Correspondence, Zayra and Ivan’s invitations feature beautiful vintage-inspired design elements with soft celadon edge painting.  The classic text and vintage-inspired elements are perfect for a formal wedding, while the subtle color provides just a hint of modern sophistication.  So pretty!

From Erin: Zayra chose this suite based on a similar invitation that we featured on our blog last year, but the original black and ecru color palette didn’t fit her “Marie Antoinette in the country” inspired wedding in Texas.  We love this suite so much, particularly because of its quirkiness and handmade style.

Zayra’s wedding palette included celadon, rose pink, and and metallic gold and we pared it down until it was a simpler look in just the celadon and a medium gray with edge painting in celadon as well.  We’re looking forward to adding this new design to our collection!

Thanks Erin!

Wedding Invitations by Smudge Ink

Have you seen the new wedding invitation collection from Smudge Ink?  I saw an early peek back at NYIGF in January, but I’m so excited to see the full collection.  Many of the wedding invitation and save the date designs are inspired by affection for New England, gardens in bloom, ocean air, and the beauty of mixing the old with the new – so pretty!  I’m definitely loving all of the nature-inspired shapes and patterns; check out some of my favorites below…

Jaclyn + Jason’s Illustrated Nautical Wedding Invitations

We’re moving from rustic to nautical with our next set of wedding invitations.  Jaclyn and Jason worked with Diane of Faye + Co. for their Atlantic City wedding invitations – you might also remember Diane’s awesome sailor tattoo wedding invitations from a couple of years ago.  Jaclyn and Jason chose a completely nautical theme for their invitations, with beautiful illustrations and hand lettering by Diane.

From Diane: Jaclyn and Jason are a fun couple and wanted the seaside reflected in their wedding invitations.  First we set the tone with a save the date postcard, using hand-drawn artwork of a nautical lantern.

On the invitations, we went all out!  From a tattoo-inspired anchor, to the dock-style posts, a rope border around the entire piece, to bits of inspiration from Atlantic City featured on the envelope liner.

This style invitation was a first for me, since the invitation folded vertically instead of a standard gatefold or trifold invitation.  At the bottom of the invitation was a perforated rsvp postcard that could be separated from the rest of the invitation with ease.

Not too long after sending off the invitations, I was contacted to design the bridal shower invitations as well – I was ecstatic!  From the save the date and invitation, all the way through to the bridal shower, this couple has a stylish set of stationery for their wedding.

Thanks Diane!

Georgie + Dave’s Nature-Inspired Wedding Invitations

Happy Monday everyone!  I love starting the week with a gorgeous set of wedding invitations, and today is no exception.  These invitations come to us from Amy of Saint Gertrude Design and Letterpress in Melbourne, Australia.  Amy combined a laser-cut tree overlay with two-color letterpress printed wedding invitations to achieve a modern, yet rustic, aesthetic for these wonderful invitations.

From Amy: Georgie and Dave’s wedding invitation suite was quite an epic project, merging two-colour letterpress print with an intricate laser cut folder.  This couple may be Melbourne cityfolk, but their attitudes and values were just so beautifully down-to-earth that I felt a simple but rustic vibe was needed for their invitations.

They were married under a canopy of trees at The Boulevard in Kew and rather than just paying lip service to this, an intricately illustrated tree was laser-cut to create a silhouette over the letterpress printed invitations underneath.  A heart cut into its trunk aligned perfectly with the couple’s heart monogram below and this motif ran throughout all of their stationery.  The whole suite was tied up in cotton string with a gift tag.

Beautiful!  Thanks Amy!
