The holiday season offers a wonderful opportunity to send an updated family photo to your friends and loved ones. Seasonal Stationery: 2013 Calendars, Part 3

Usually by this time of year I already have my favorite calendar picked out, but this year it seems like a fantastic new calendar is released every week if not every day! I’m still updating the 2013 calendar round up page with all the new releases, and today I thought I’d share a few of the recent additions! Â I’m particularly smitten with the cyanotype calendar from Campbell Raw Press below â€“ each individual print (in an edition of 60 calendars) is one of a kind!

Jessica + Nick’s Letterpress Map Wedding Invitations

I love travel-inspired wedding invitation designs, from maps to postcards to vintage stamps and everything in between. Â So naturally I adore this letterpress wedding invitationÂ fromÂ Laura MacchiaÂ andÂ May Day StudioÂ inspired by the city where the bride and groom first met. Â Laura incorporated a lovely and simple map detail on the main invitation, with a fun rsvp card inspired by vintage postage stamps. Â So sweet!

From Laura:Â Jessica and Nick live in New York City, but will be getting married in Milwaukee, where they first met. Â Their inspiration was centered around vintage maps and stamps with an aubergine and taupe color palette. Â Since it will be a destination wedding for most guests, I wanted to incorporate a map specific to the wedding location in the invitation design.

I love how Lake Michigan becomes a flood of color that in turn creates the silhouette of Wisconsin. Â The propeller plane and globe stamps on the reply card further push the vintage-travel feel, creating a suite that is both personal and fun but still elegant and classic.

Amber + Jeff’s Historic Stone Mill Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I’ve missed sharing wedding invitations over the last couple of weeks! Â So today I’m excited to jump back in with some beautiful letterpress invitations from Laura Macchia and May Day Studio. Â Laura created these invitations for a couple getting married at an historic stone mill â€“ and the unique location definitely helped inspire the design for the invitation suite.

From Laura:Â Amber and Jeff will be married at the historicÂ Lillian & Amy Goldman Stone Mill â€“ part of the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Â They were interested in creating invitations that would give their guests a feel for the beautiful and unique location.

I illustrated the Stone Mill and surrounding landscape with fine lines and details that I knew would show beautifully with letterpress printing.

The centuries-old printing technique also emphasizes the historic character of theÂ stone mill, setting the tone for an elegant wedding at the botanical garden.Â Â The suite was letterpress printed by May Day Studio.
