Spring Baby Shower Invitation

I'm so incredibly happy that it's finally March!  Even though spring doesn't officially begin until later this month, I could definitely use a fresh start after rather a tough winter.  Like many of my friends and fellow bloggers, I'm ready to declare victory over winter and welcome longer days, warmer weather, and the beautiful little blooms that come with spring.  I spotted these beautiful yellow and gray baby shower invitations by ChellĂ© Paperie this morning at The Sweetest Occasion.  Don't they remind you of spring with their sunny yellow flowers and sweet bunnies?

A Modern Sugar Paper Baby Shower

Sugar Paper is a gorgeous luxury stationery studio in southern California helmed by co-founders Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker.  Chelsea is getting ready to welcome a baby in a week or so (congrats Chelsea!), so Jamie threw an incredibly sweet baby shower — and somehow managed to keep the whole thing a secret from Chelsea!

Check out the gorgeous letterpress die-cut baby shower invitations — the calligraphy was all done by LA-based calligrapher Lisa Holtzman:

Love these baby carriage coasters!  So perfect with the shower's yellow, black, and white color palette.

As party favors, each guest took home a set of personalized letterpress stationery — lucky ducks!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  After a few unexpected delays and flight changes yesterday, I'm now finally in Salt Lake City and busy running around at the Alt Summit.  If you want to follow along with many of the bloggers attending or speaking at Alt, I created a twitter list to help make it a bit easier for you.  I'm going to run back to the conference, but in the meantime…

Also — since next week is our big apartment move, I've asked one of my very favorite bloggers, Jen from The Haystack Needle, to help fill in for me all week.  Jen will be sharing the details from her incredibly beautiful wedding last year, including her invitations, save the dates, and lots more, so you'll definitely want to check out her posts.  I may also be popping in once or twice with more valentines and other fun things, but otherwise I'll be back in full force the following Monday.

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  We're having an unexpected spell of warm(ish) winter weather here in DC, which has me so totally excited for the weekend!  We'll be busy packing, packing, packing – but hopefully we'll manage to spend a bit of time outdoors as well.  I'm also already looking forward to next week, since that's the week of the Altitude Design Summit.  Yay!  I really can't wait.  But in the meantime…

That's about it for me this week!  Next week I'll be starting my Valentine's Day card round-ups before running off to Salt Lake City.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you back here next week!
