Baby Essentials: Baby Blankets

Just after Sophie was born, her great aunt gifted us with a handmade quilt. It was such a meaningful gesture and is still one of my most treasured baby gifts. We take the quilt with us to the park, use it to bundle her up during the winter, and I’m sure we’ll come up with a thousand other uses as Sophie gets older. Along the way, we’ve accumulated a few additional blankets – lighter blankets for summer, heavier knit blankets for winter – that will last us well through Sophie’s childhood. Today I thought I’d share a few of my favorites!

  1. Ooh, I love baby blankets! The heart one is adorable, that neon pop of color is great! I am a long time reader and just opened my new business last month, making custom organic quilts. There’s something so great about wrapping up in a blanket and getting snuggly!
