Turcan and Ev wanted classic wedding invitations with a few bold yet sophisticated elements. They worked with Sarah from The Happy Envelope, who created a stunning black and white invitation design. The entire suite was letterpress printed on super-thick paper, with a vintage rose illustration on the reverse side and cobalt blue edge painting. So pretty!
From Sarah: Turcan + Ev had a church wedding followed by a reception at the bride’s aunt’s private residence in Maryland. The couple wanted something stunning, but still classic in tone. Their wedding colors were black and white with cobalt blue accents. We decided to letterpress print everything on super thick 4-ply board so that we could paint the edge with a bright pop of their blue as a fun surprise.
The reverse side of the invitation was letterpress printed in black ink with a vintage rose botanical illustration. The custom printed liner on the inner envelope was also cobalt blue for that extra “wow!” factor. The bride wanted the reception card to really sing and stand on its own, so we letterpress printed it in two inks, utilizing her cobalt blue for a bit of visual pop.
