this weekend…

Just about every weekend we visit our local farmer’s market – and as much as I love coming home with truly fresh produce (and flowers!), I almost always come home with the same thing weekend after weekend.  Lately, I’ve been inspired by Katy’s CSA adventures to try out some veggies that aren’t part of our regular menu.

So, this weekend we came home with:

{squash blossoms} Purple-cauliflower

For the squash blossoms, I’m thinking about going with Alyson’s yummy-looking recipe – and I’m thinking I’ll probably sautée the kale… but I’m still on the lookout for a good recipe for purple cauliflower.  Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. oh I’m jealous! I think the squash blossoms are long gone from our farmer’s markets… I haven’t seen them in weeks. let me know how they turn out!
