Jun08Sweet + Simple Save the Dates
Here’s another sweet kraft paper save the date. Vicky and her fiancé live in Brisbane, Australia but are planning a wedding in the English countryside, so they felt the need to send their save the dates well in advance of their fall 2012 wedding. Vicky is a graphic designer and printed the save the dates herself on her trusty Gocco.
From Vicky: Being a graphic designer I have always had a passion for paper and typography so now I get to bring them together and start designing my own wedding stationery. As a British citizen currently living in Brisbane, we realised the need to send our save the dates as soon as possible to give people enough time to save up and arrange a trip to the other side of the globe. We will be married at home in the English countryside and we want everything to be simple and personal.
When it come to the design I wanted kraft paper and envelopes. I hand printed every single ‘save the date’ on my Print Gocco. I had so much fun and now I can not wait to get started on designing the invitations… no rush really as the wedding isn’t for another 15 months!
Thanks Vicky!

Hey thanks for all the lovely comments, I got my gocco off ebay from Japan there were loads to choose from and it arrived within a week so I was very impressed.

I am also a graphic designer who is starting to work on her wedding suite. I love the simplicity of these invites, but most of all I love the idea of using a Gocco! Do you have any idea where one can buy a gocco for a reasonable price these days?
LOVE! I am a sucker for hearts:)

i love that you included photos of the cards all together. i find that such a beautiful thing. when i make a lot of envelopes and paper all it once…i like to gather it together and take a picture or just stare at it…i imagine vicky might have felt the same way when she was done printing!

Lovely!
I agree, simple and personal is the only way to go sometimes, especially for something as personal as save-the-date cards. They look like they came out so crisp and bonus points for designing AND printing them yourself. I’ve always wanted a Gocco!
