Brooke came to me with a hippo and a piece of African kitenge fabric she had cherished from their travels and work in Africa. She had no idea how these would translate into her invitations. A cultural design challenge! I took this as an opportunity to create their own custom print and not only worked it into their paper but even created fabrics that Brooke used for the table runners and groomsmen ties! I carried the details into the escort cards incorporating her hippo and other fun icons I made to symbolize their celebration.

Even though Maya was having a country wedding at the Red Barn in Vermont, she didn’t want to focus on the traditional outdoor motifs one would expect. Instead we took a different approach and gave a nod to their Hollywood producer sensibility and created a hand drawn illustration of the couple zooming off in their vintage Porsche to the country. Since every detail counts, I attached the red satin ribbon around her neck so when guests untied it, the ribbon would be flying in the wind as if it was her glamorous red scarf. So fun!

The stunning Reshma Shetty, a star on the hit show “Royal Pains”, is of Indian descent. Naturally, she wanted her wedding invitations to mirror her rich background. Of course we were glad to rise to the challenge, creating a custom painting for her invite that included details such as gorgeous pink lotus flowers, henna-inspired embellishment and the word “Om” in the center. It is literally a work of art! All of her accessories, like menus and programs, were designed to match.

Requesting that your guests travel to Italy is a pretty big deal, but Ashleigh didn’t let that stop her. I wanted to create an irresistible save the date that would get her guests booking that next ticket to Lago di Como. Inspired by the romance of the Italian culture, I designed my rendition of a traveling artist’s sketchbook. Each page was loaded with hand drawn illustrations of villas to vespas and cafes to cathedrals. The designs accompanied all the travel details which allowed guests to book their travels with ease and excitement.

Hand drawn Mexican tile patterns, authentic embroidery designs, combined with beautiful details from the intricate embroidery from Katharine’s dress were the inspiration for this wedding in Cabo San Lucas. The natural toned outside of the custom-made, 4-petal envelope complemented the bright pop colors that were revealed as guests opened the envelope. The custom pattern continued from the invite to match the inside lining of the envelope.
