NSS Sneak Peek: Belle & Union

Today’s NSS Sneak Peek comes from another returning exhibitor – Belle & Union (Booth #1853)! Meg made a huge splash in her debut appearance last year, with a booth that had veteran exhibitors in awe and a fantastic collection of seriously awesome paper goods. This year Meg has doubled the Belle & Union line with 20 new greeting cards, art prints, a letterpress calendar, new gift wrap, and boxed sets. Here are some of the new goodies!

The flag card above is of particular note: a portion of all sales of will go to Operation Write Home, a non-profit that sends blank cards to soldiers deployed overseas to help them keep in touch with those back home. Meg and I both know how hard it is to have spouses and family deployed overseas, so I’m thrilled that Meg is contributing to such a fantastic program!

NSS Sneak Peek: Pei Design

Our next Stationery Show sneak peek comes from a designer that had one of my favorite debuts last year – Pei Design (Booth #1774)! I love Pei’s modern style and knack for color. Last year’s collection included letterpress and foil stamped greeting cards, notebooks, and fill-in party invitations. This year Pei is expanding with art prints, calendars, notepads, wrapping paper, holiday postcards, and lots of greeting card designs! The new products are all locally printed in full color using FSC-certified paper.

Quick Pick: Poketo

I first fell in love with these foil stamped monography planners from Poketo back at Winter NYIGF and I’ve been waiting patiently for them to appear on the Poketo website ever since! The delicate foil pattern is so beautiful against the fabric covers, don’t you think? I’m also thinking I could really use that sticky note weekly calendar and some of those adorable pens!

Quick Pick: Moglea

The beautiful stationery from Meg of Moglea was one of my favorites from last year’s National Stationery Show – from her letterpress letter sets to calendars to greeting cards. I can’t wait to see what Meg does for this year’s show! I love the combination of hand lettering, illustration, and vibrant ink colors. Meg also creates some incredibly beautiful patterns – just look at those envelope liners!

Brooke + Kyle’s Modern Sticker Save the Dates

These save the dates from Jill of Lemon Tree Paper Co. are so fun and cheerful – just as they should be! Jill created these modern sticker save the dates for a couple planning a spring barn wedding. I love the way Jill incorporated texture into the save the dates by using washi tape and a glassine envelope. Cute!

From Jill: Brooke has impeccable taste and loved the idea of a barn wedding, but didn’t want the usual burlap/lace/rustic feel. She wanted something more updated and fresh, using pretty neutrals for her colors and infusing modern elements into her wedding details. We wanted to create something fun and energetic without being overly casual for her save the dates.

She wanted a memorable save the date, so we developed the idea of using large stickers for her guests to use to mark their calendars. Rather than simply taping the stickers on, we used the stickers as an opportunity to layer some texture into the piece with a glassine envelope and washi tape to kick up the patterns and create something that felt energetic, but still elegant.

We printed her stickers through Moo and I took care of the other details! I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
