National Stationery Show 2013, Part 6

Before we jump into a few more booths from the Stationery Show, I have one booth to share from Surtex â€“ a separate licensing show for artists and illustrators that takes place at the Javits Center during the same week. I wish I could spend more time at Surtex, but I made sure to stop by and say hello to the incredibly talented Dinara Mirtalipova at the show. Dinara created some fabric and wallpaper prototypes with her pattern illustrations below â€“ aren’t they amazing?? Hopefully someone will step up to produce them soon!

Okay, now back over to the National Stationery Show! Sarah from Fancy Seeing You Here had a delightfully quirky booth with everything from travel-inspired map stationery to fortune telling greeting cards (such a great idea!) to coasters. Totally up my alley!

After taking a break last year, Hello! Lucky was back in a big way at this year’s show with a bright and happy booth with tons of new cards! They also recently started incorporating gold and silver foil into their designs â€“ with fabulous results!

When it comes to colorful cards, no one does it better than the ladies of The Social Type! Their cards never fail to put a smile on my face, and this year they added some beautiful new matchbooks to their collection!

It feels like just yesterday that I stumbled into the debut Printerette PressÂ booth at theÂ 2011Â show â€“ I can’t believe this was Catherine’s third year exhibiting! In addition to her sweet letterpress greeting cards and wedding invitations, Catherine introduced a new seasonal calendar and some of the cutest notepads I’ve ever seen!

I love the way the team at Egg PressÂ mixes graphic patterns, whimsical illustrations, and die cut shapes â€“ often in the same card! Their booth was full of colorful greeting cards, some fun new everyday greeting cards, and pretty gift wrap.

Next up, the wonderful illustrated cards from Dear Hancock! I’m already a huge fan of their “from the desk of” and unconventional workstation cards, along with their bunny and truck card series. This year they added a monthly calendar and some fun new notepads to the mix!

Last up for today, the greeting cards, art prints, and temporary tattoos from Banquet Atelier & Workshop! The mythical creatures print below might be one of my favorite new products from the entire show â€“ I want one for Sophie’s room!

National Stationery Show 2013, Part 5

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a nice and relaxing long weekend! Today I’m ready to jump back into my National Stationery Show coverage with two more recaps full of some seriously gorgeous booths. First up, yet another new exhibitor at the show with lots of screen printed awesomeness: sister companies The Paper Cub Co. and Sass and Peril!

I love the clean and modern style of the greeting cards from The Paper Cub Co.

Sass & Peril is more kid- and home-focused, with animal prints and posters, onesies, and even tea towels!

I’ve been a big fan of Brainstorm ever since discovering them at a local craft fair a few years ago â€“ and I was really looking forward to their debut booth at the Stationery Show! I love the warm and cozy vibe they created (complete with a faux fireplace), and of course I love all their beautiful art prints!

This atlas series is one of my all time favorites!

Is it weird if I actually want to move into a booth? Rebekah from Wild Ink Press created the most warm and cozy booth to showcase her beautiful cards â€“ she even installed crown moulding at the top! The walls were lined with all the new collections that Rebekah debuted at the show, from a brand new letterpress calendar to garden-inspired greeting cards to a funny quotations series!

I love the new Otomi and Aztec patterns in Rebekah’s textile-inspired collection!

The Letter C Design booth was a happy rainbow of stationery, with boxed note sets, colorful travel journals, and cute little place cards â€“ all with cute white foil printed motifs. I also love love love the kraft paper stickers, including gift tag stickers!

After a strong debut last year, Pei Design has become one of my highlights at the show. This year’s collection was largely designed around a Parisian-inspired theme, with art prints, a calendar, and several new illustrated greeting cards. Those gold foil pattern note cards and new gift wrap sheets? Gorgeous!

The ladies of One Canoe Two went BIG this year, from the actual booth size (too big to get a single frame shot!) to a bunch of fabulous new products to an absolutely gorgeous new oversize calendar! So so good.

These perpetual calendars come in a gorgeous heirloom wood berry box â€“ and can even be used as a daily journal that you can revisit every year!

One Canoe Two

It’s so fun to see stationers branch out and experiment with new products, and these days I’m particularly excited by the new objects from The Great Lakes Goods. You’ve probably already seen their color-dipped wood feathers and arrows, screen printed gift wrap, and ribbons, but this year’s booth also included color block wood candle holders and the cutest balloons with hand lettered messages â€“ all along with their awesome screen printed greeting cards.

Of course, the National Stationery Show wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Rifle Paper Co. booth! This time around the booth was full of beautiful new art prints, a stunning new garden-inspired calendar, new gift wrap patterns, new greeting card designs â€“ and of course their fabulous iphone cases!

National Stationery Show 2013, Part 3

Sigh… the 2013 National Stationery ShowÂ is all over, but I’m ready to jump back into my recap coverage from this year’s show! This year’s show seemed to go by in a flash, and looking back through these photos just makes me all the more excited for next year’s show! First up for today, one of my very favorite booths from the show: the ladies of Sugar Paper! Everywhere I turned there was something beautiful to see, from brightly colored greeting cards to pretty patterns and shiny gold foil to crisp kraft paper. Love!

Claudia from Fig. 2 Design Studio had a gorgeous booth (as always) full of some absolutely stunning new cards and gift wrap! I couldn’t get over the colorful patterns and gold foil in the gift wrap, and Claudia also debuted a brand new custom wedding invitation collection with Lindsay Letters. So pretty!

The Sycamore Street Press booth was also full of beautiful stationery, from a new collection of offset printed cards to double-sided gift wrap to a new set of wonderful gold foil baby milestone cards!

Mr. Boddington’s Studio is known for their avant garde booth designs, and this year they really pulled out all the stops with a HUGE booth that showcased the full range of their collection. I can’t even imagine trying to pick out my favorites from all the beautiful greeting cards, prints, recipe cards, book covers, letter sets, book plates, and gift wrap!

Meg from Belle & Union was back at the show with even more of her sweet and saucy Southern-inspired stationery. It was so great to see all of her new tea towel designs, gift wrap patterns, notebooks, greeting cards â€“ even a new calendar! And how gorgeous are those art prints?!

Finally (for now), lots of colorful greeting cards and coasters from Ross at 55 Hi’s! Each card is letterpress printed or screen printed with the most beautiful saturated color and with lots of fantastic hand lettering!

National Stationery Show 2013, Part 2

As promised, I’m back with a few more booths from the 2013 National Stationery Show to share with you! First up, a debut booth that is near and dear to my heart â€“ Ladyfingers Letterpress! Their booth was completely full of amazing stationery, from hand lettered birthday cards to greeting cards with a sense of humor. Not to mention some beautiful art prints and rubber stamps!

Next up, the awesomeness that is the debut Sideshow Press booth! Every piece in the booth (and the booth design itself!) was inspired by the idea of an outdoor camp. I’m in awe of the way that everything fit into the general theme without being too gimmicky â€“ and everything was so well designed! So cool.

I absolutely loved everything in the Moglea booth! I love seeing the way Meg incorporates her signature hand lettering, illustrations, and color palette into a collection including everything from letterpress printed writing sets and color dipped greeting cards to market notepads and 2014 calendar.

I was so excited to visit the booth of Parrott Design Studio and Letter & Lark! I’m such a fan of Sarah’s bright and colorful stationery and Colleen’s delicate illustrated cards. So much beautiful stationery in one place!

Iron Curtain Press had a bright booth full of some really adorable greeting cards, from nautical language cards to illustrated congratulations and condolence cards. Too cute!

Snow and Graham returned to the National Stationery Show just in time to celebrate their 15th anniversary! The booth itself was absolutely stunning, with a paper flower display and petal pink walls, and was full of awesome stationery from greeting cards to gift wrap to calendars â€“ and even the cutest pens!

National Stationery Show 2013, Part 1

It’s finally here! The 2013 National Stationery Show kicked off yesterday, and I’m so excited for a week full of wonderful stationery! I’ve only had a chance to walk a few aisles so far, but today I’m thrilled to kick off my NSS recaps with five of my favorite booths (so far) from this year’s show! First up, one of the biggest debuts of the year â€“ 9th Letter Press! These ladies went all out with a huge booth filled with awesome letterpress stationery, including gift wrap and foil printed garlands, foil art prints, notebooks and notepads, stickers and fill-in party invitations, and of course tons ofÂ greeting cards and holiday cards!

I’ve been following the ladies of Tabletop Made for a loooong time, and it was wonderful to finally meet them in person at their adorable booth! So many cute things, from letterpress printed greeting cards and postcards to gift tags to art prints. I’m particularly loving the sparkly gold foil in the Far Out print below!

I was thrilled to stumble upon this booth from Minneapolis-based new exhibitor Benchpressed. I’m loving the hand lettering, illustrations, and bright colors in the sweet and snarky greeting cards and art prints â€“Â and of course I’m a fan of the monthly craft cocktail calendar!

The Rocket Ink booth was one of my favorite debuts last year, and this year Katie’s booth was full of beautiful city and state prints, a gorgeous gem-themed 2014 wall calendar, and lots of illustrated and hand lettered greeting cards, love cards, and holiday cards. And how cute is that fringe trim around the booth??

I’m completely overjoyed that Yellow Owl Workshop was back in their very own booth for this year’s show â€“ and what a booth! Christine hand painted the walls in the most beautiful abstract pattern, which was the perfect backdrop for her colorful greeting cards, stamp kits, and necklaces. They also had their brand new carve-a-stamp kits on display and I’m beyond obsessed. So many possibilities!
