Muslamb Paper Goods

The month of Ramadan started last week, and I'm usually a bit stumped when it comes to finding suitable cards (much less letterpress) to commemorate Ramadan and Muslim holidays.  When I saw these beautiful letterpress cards from muslamb paper goods on poppytalk yesterday, I just had to pass them along for anyone who might be looking to wish friends or colleagues "Ramadan Mubarak" (blessed Ramadan) or "Eid Mubarak" (blessed festival) at the end of Ramadan:

There's also a few more Islamic letterpress greeting cards and invitations in the muslamb paper goods etsy shop, and lots of photos of past work on the muslamb paper goods flickr page here.

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about all of you, but this week has just flown by for me – I almost can't believe it's Friday already!  I'm super-excited for the weekend, since tonight we're going to see the Flaming Lips and tomorrow I get to meet Jenna!  But in the meantime…

…here are a few things making me happy right now:

That's it from me for this week — but I'll be back next week with more real invitations and details about the giveaways for my upcoming one-year blog anniversary!  So.  Excited.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday!

Sunday Suppers — Summer Table

When I was in New York last week for the NYIGF and Brides.com wedding field trip, I had the opportunity to attend one of the Sunday Suppers organized by Karen Mordechai and Casey Solomon — and with guest chef Aran from Cannelle et Vanille!  I had such a wonderful time, and everything was as lovely (and yummy) as I had hoped it would be:

Our theme was Summer Table — and the menu featured super-fresh summer ingredients, from a watermelon + basil + feta salad (seriously one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever eaten) to pearl couscous with fresh corn to kabobs with swordfish and arctic char:

The tables were also gorgeous, with white tablecloths underneath an overlay of brown kraft paper, vintage silverware with mismatched napkins, and lush floral centerpiece arrangements in white milk glass vases:

The desserts from Aran (in lovely dessert bowls from gleena) were amazing – completely beautiful, truly delicious, and like nothing I’ve ever tasted before:

In addition to more fabulous photos of the table decor, the dessert recipes from Aran are now up on the Sunday Suppers blog – with dinner recipes to follow.  You should really try these recipes at home – it’s sooo worth it.
